Is it possible for my birthcontrol pills to make me nauseous and bloaded? I have been nauseous for about four years, on and off. Did that happened to you? What did you do about it, you switched the pill-to which one?

I agree with the answer about the IUD. BCP can certainly cause nausea in some women. And why take a drug if there is a non-hormonal alternative?

IUDs are safer than ever, and most of the rest of the world's population uses them regularly. It's just in the US that IUDs are not common. But they are safe and effective and you don't need to worry about them once in.

Did you ever read the packet info that came with your pills or did your doctor tell you what side effects that the pill can cause? Come on now you have been on them for 4 years and have not discussed this with your doctor? I suggest talking to your doctor and trying a different BCP.

be careful even as switching pills. i become on Tri-Sprintec for 4 years then become switched to Ortho-Tricyclen Lo. My body did not like the change in any respect. the first few months become complete of weight earnings and differences in mood and ingesting habit. i become thoroughly out of it. That become 5 years in the past and my body is thoroughly use to it. the only element you may want to favor to seem into is the contents of Yaz that shrink the mood swings, irritability, and cramps. the purely reason i have not switched to Yaz is because even as a pill packs extra relievers, it also packs extra random facet-consequences.

it did the same thing to me also. i joked about it with my husband that that is why the pill works---you never have sex because you are so sick!!
try something else--not the pill. no one knows the true side effects and it is too scary to ingest this crap. you need to let mother nature run your uterus, not a pharmaceutical company.
i love the today sponge. you can leave it in for 24 hours.

The answer is to talk to your doctor, and forget these "IUD" people, a doctor will only recommend IUD if you've had a child already. You can also try non-pill bc, like the patch or nuvaring (my personal favorite).

yes, and it's entirely up to you and your ob-gyn to change the prescription. After I had tried 5 different, the last one was called Demulen and that worked for me. However, that was 15 years ago.

have you tried taking it at night? I had to take mine at night, otherwise I was cranky all day (and it didn't matter which kind I took!). My multi-vitamin makes me sick, but if I take it right before bed, it doesn't bother me. If you are otherwise happy with your bcp, I would try that before changing it.
