There was one listed at http://bestninemonths.com/baby-monitors.asp and I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this type of monitor? A friend has one and said it was pretty good for one with both Video and Audio. Any Suggestions?

One liter was given to the patient during the procedure, so I'm assuming it is an IV fluid.

To you pro-choice people. Have you ever seen pictures of what a fetus looks and what it looks like after it's aborted? Look at the pictures at this site and i want to know if you change your mind at all.

Common sample parenting issues: the family dynamic feels strained or off balance, I don't know how to connect with my teenager, my child's behavior in public is embarrassing, my child's behavior at home is driving me nuts, etc.

It would help if you noted how many kids you have, how old they are, and your marital/partnership status.

It seems that increasingly, parents in the United States often feel unsupported, or question their parenting abilities/strategies. Walk down the isles of a major book store and you will find 100 books telling you what you're doing wrong, and many of these books have opposing recommendations.

I'm in the process of creating a website that seeks to help moms and dads develop abilities and strategies for raising their children based on internal cares and values.

I hope to create a space where parents can share struggles and successes with one another, and in so doing, create a support system for internally facilitated, empowered parenting.

i have a 2 year old daughter. when she doesn't do what she is told my hubby and i place her in time out. this consists of her sitting on the first stair inside our house for two minutes. this usually calms her down and she is then willing to do what she was asked.

however, sometimes she just starts slapping her hand! for example: i can ask her to put her toys away, if she doesn't want to do it she yells, "no" at me and slaps her own hand, not once but a few times! we have ignored her when she does this behavior but soemtimes my hubby just has to tell her to not do it. even sitting on the stair for time out she will slap herself.

any suggestions as to why and how i get her to stop doing this? there's a little more to it than this ... my ex-hubby, her bio-father, used to have visitations and i suspect he slapped her on her hand and said, "naughty" when she did something wrong. i suspect this since my Now hubby and i dont use "naughty" ....

does this make sense??

I would really like to know what you think about how you should punish your child for doing something wrong. Can you tell me how you think it works and why you think the opposite of that punishment ( ex. time out to spanking ) is wrong.

i was shocked when i heard that they're talking about taking dodgeball out of p.e. bc it might hurt a child's feelings to be 'out'. where do we draw the line btwn honest to goodness protecting our kids, psychologically and physcially, from things and experiences that can truly be harmful, and letting them experience the neccessary bumps and bruises that make up the life of a child? whatever happened to teaching ur child to be a modest winner, and a gracious loser?

and all but one showed positive. I took three dollar store preg. tests and they showed
+, than after going to a clinic two days later, I was told the test was negative. So after waiting a week, a bought four,of the more expensive brand, and they were all positive. The clinic is back open tomorrow morning and I'm planning on visiting to take one of their tests to confirm. Do you think that I'm pregnant?? I was told at the clinic that the tests I had taken, could have been sold after the expiration date, or that I wasn't testing as the directions showed, so this time I'm certain I avoided any possible mistakes previously made. Also, I breastfeed my one year old daughter, could this alter the readings?? Thanks for answering.

I had unprotected sex but b/f didnt *** inside and my period was late for 16 days and then I got it.
It lasted 3 days...
I did pregnancy test and one circle was + and the other which shows if the test is true-didn't show a signal mark so I think it was a failure...
Could I be pregnant even if I had my period?

Additional Details

Is it possible that the test was + and the other circle was blank?
What does that mean?

It was normal period, not light...

My son is five. Sixth months ago my brother, his uncle passed away. My son seems to go back and forth. Sometimes he'll mention it and sometimes he will go for weeks without saying anything about it. Me and him do talk alot, we have a very open relationship. But lately he has become obssessed with death. Just asking me alot of questions. Like when is he going to die? How is he going to die? I talked to him so much after my brothers passing and now I am running out of things to say and he just keeps asking me and asking me. I told him to stop talking about dieing. So do you have any suggestions?

Are you psychologists? Then help me then. Ohterwise, have any of you ever been sad as all hell? Thought so. It's so easy for you mothers with the perfect sensitive men and fathers to your baby to attack me and accuse me of being a mess. maybe I am a big crybaby, maybe my husband sucks, but I love my baby just as much, if not more, than you perfect people with the Mr.Wonderful daddies and husbands do. OK? So, if you have all this judgement to cast, provide links, or something. Or just omit my question. I didn't ask for my husband to change and be insensitive and a stupid rock who does care for the baby, but never cried at the miracle of her being her and me surviving. I bet most of you just had routing great deliveries, and your men STILL cried in joy. I lost enough blood to die, I had hypertenstion (which of course the blood loss temporarily cured) and I was lucky enough to have a baby strong enough to push herself out because I couldn't and I was on my way to the OR just as she came
