and all but one showed positive. I took three dollar store preg. tests and they showed
+, than after going to a clinic two days later, I was told the test was negative. So after waiting a week, a bought four,of the more expensive brand, and they were all positive. The clinic is back open tomorrow morning and I'm planning on visiting to take one of their tests to confirm. Do you think that I'm pregnant?? I was told at the clinic that the tests I had taken, could have been sold after the expiration date, or that I wasn't testing as the directions showed, so this time I'm certain I avoided any possible mistakes previously made. Also, I breastfeed my one year old daughter, could this alter the readings?? Thanks for answering.

www.peeonastick.com for all your testing questions.

Surprisingly, many clinics use tests that aren't as sensitive as the ones you can buy. If you looked at your tests within 10 minutes (see above website for info on false positives from looking at the test too late) you are pregnant. Or you were at the time of the test, one problem with the early detection tests is that they can spot chemical pregnancies (right hormones but no actual implantation) and very early miscarriages.

If you retested recently and got another positive--CONGRATULATIONS!!!

i think there's a good chance that you are pregnant. breastfeeding wont affect pregnancy tests results.
but- if you had ur daughter only a few months ago, i think you might still have some pregnancy hormone in ur system which could eventually cause the positive result on your tests. at least, thats what i read on the net, i just looked it up.
HOWERVER, eight positive results is really POSITIVE, so maybe the clinic messed up ur test. by all means, ask for another blood test. in my opinion, you are pregnant. congratulations !!!

if they all said yes, sounds like the blood test is wrong. The clinic is the only one that can confirm. Usually there are no false positives. Good luck at the clinic and try not to stress.

Congratulations I think your pregnant.

Tests that give a postive result are 99.9% correct. Negative results are often wrong.

Breast feeding wont affect the reading.

Yes I think you are pregnant. That many tests don't lie.

Good for you for breastfeeding! However, it will have NO IMPACT on the test at all.
