racism usually comes from ignorance or from generations of ignorance, passed down from parents. I am white. and have always taught my children to judge people by their actions and not the color of their skin. My ex-husband was a racist and I tried super hard not to let that rub off on my children at an early age. Thank God it didn't.
My daughter knows that if she brings home a black friend they are welcome in my home, because I trust her judgement in character.

Right, we "all" are Americans. Believe in God or not- We all earned the right to be here. Well, some of us. Some are the "illegal immagrants." But anyway- I'm Asian and my boyfriend is white. Some of the older tradition asians do not like whites. But I don't really care what others think- My opinion counts the MOST. For what I care- racisems will always be around. But the ones that do talk- could blab all they want- because I believe they are just "jealous."

I understand. It has to do with persuasion and a need to have something to follow. My mother raised my oldest brother to like blacks, and he used to be engaged to a mixed girl. But they never got married, and he befriended a guy named Bob, and was fed so many lies and bullcrap that he is now racist. I'm white, I'm 14, and even though I have many black friends, the blacks that aren't my friends feel the need to call me racist for disagreeing. Though there are so many racists in the worlds even white people will call me racist, because even if they are black, white, or red, sometimes I can't find common ground with them. Its mostly in the Southern states though.
