The amount of misinformation and faulty logic being spouted by so-called "pro-choicers" (remember, the child has no choice) is astounding. It is amazing to see the lengths that people will go to avoid the simple truth. Just to address of a few of these issues:
1. "I would personally rather see a dead baby than an unloved, unwanted, abused baby." First, abortion IS child abuse of the worst kind. What could be more unloving and more abusive than killing someone? Secondly, studies show that most abused born children were very much "wanted." Thirdly, there are 40 couples waiting for every infant who comes up for adoption in this country. Fourthly, since when do we try to solve societal problems by killing people off? Should we also start killing off unloved, unwanted, abused homeless people?
2. "After all it's THEIR body..." Really? If there's not another body involved, then whose heart is that beating away on the ultrasound?
3. "Anti-abortion people fail to recognize that most abortions take place before the 'fetus' even moves away from looking like a clump of cells." Complete nonsense. The average age of an aborted child in this country is 10 weeks. You need to take a look at those pictures again. Most abortionists will not perform an abortion before seven weeks due to the risk of "incomplete abortion." At seven weeks, the child already has arms, legs, and a beating heart, hardly a "clump of cells."
4. "It will just continue to happen illegally and be even more deadly and horrific." So, should we just not outlaw rape because some rapists might get hurt committing their crimes? At least this person was honest and said "even more deadly." Women die from LEGAL abortions all the time (more information below). And, if you take a look at what happened in Poland when they outlawed abortion, you will find that this person's fears are completely groundless. See: http://www.thevanguard.org/thevanguard/other_writers/willke.shtml
5. "[These pictures] are mostly miscarriages and the like." Again, nonsense. Miscarried babies do not have their arms and legs ripped from their bodies, and most mothers who miscarry a child are not going to ring up pro-lifers and say, "Oh, please, come take a picture of my dead baby." If anyone doubts these photos are genuine, see: http://www.cbrinfo.org/About_Us/lawsuits/authenticity.html
Even some pro-aborts have admitted the photos are real, and accuse those in their own camp of hypocrisy for not being able to face the truth about abortion. This person is right about one thing, though: "Fetuses are deposed of as medical waste." Unfortunately, this is true, and is one of the reasons why it's not too difficult to find and take photos of them.
6. "Yes, the fetus/zygote, has its own unique DNA, but it cannot survive independently..." Newsflash: neither can a newborn, or a toddler, or your grandpa who carries around an oxygen machine, or your aunt who receives dialysis. Does that give us the right to kill them, too?
7. As to the charge that the pro-life information is biased: Who is more likely to give unbiased information, an organization with NO financial stake in abortion, or an industry that makes millions of dollars a year from the killing of the unborn? Think about it.

First of all, please provide an unbiased source about abortion. A site that has a section devoted to the Bible is not what I'd call unbiased. It doesn't make much sense. If you want real facts instead of distorted figures and propaganda you have to dig deeper.
Yes, I know what I fetus looks like, I also know that most images posted by pro-life sites/advocates are mostly miscarriages and the like. Fetuses are disposed of as medical waste. It's easy to distort the meaning of an image when you have a biased view.
Also, I am pro-choice. I have a great deal of respect for life and I also believe it's every woman's choice to make the huge decision to bear a child or not. I firmly believe there is a big difference between pro-life and anti-choice and anti-woman. I am every bit pro-life in the sense that I understand that each woman has the right to make the very important decision regarding her own life and the potential life inside of her. Yes, the fetus/zygote, has its own unique DNA, but it cannot survive independently of its host. The introduction of a child into any life is an ENORMOUS responsibility affecting every aspect of life from socioeconomic status to psychological health, career and financial. Who knows better how well they can respond to the changes and support another life other than their own than themselves. Abortion is an important, necessary option, one you may not realize the importance of until you're faced with a situation where you're trying to figure out if you can support a child as well as yourself and provide them with the good life they deserve.
The government has no right to dictate such an important decision, one they will never even have a concept of. You cannot be forced to donate blood or your bodily organs, so why should you be forced through an unwanted pregnancy. Pregnancy is a very trying time and it has many serious side effects, even death.

I guess it doesn't matter what it looks like to God. That is because God invented abortion in the form of miscarriage. And he invented abortion for a good reason.
God frequently uses abortion for reasons only he knows. But he also uses man made abortion for reasons such as the mother not having a secure family situation. She may not have an income, health care, a father for the child or other reason to make an abortion sensible.
There are two views of God. The god of the pro life anti Christ movement is a hateful god that allows the murder of children. The God of the pro choice movement is a much more powerful God that has never ending love for children. This God knows that it takes more than an body to make a loving relationship with a child. The Child needs food, medical care, a home, and a father. The loving God allows abortion if the child will suffer. But unlike the God of the pro life anti Christ movement this God does not kill his fetus. This God of the pro life movement takes the soul of the fetus in his protection. There is no death of a human or even the soul of the fetus. It is saved.
The pro life anti Christ movement is based on fear and death. They must kill doctors, call people names and bomb hospitals to follow their god. I do not want to be associated with a group such as this that appears to be following an anti Christ. So I am pro choice.

No it does not change my mind. Anti-abortion people fail to recognize that most abortions take place before the 'fetus' even moves away from looking like a clump of cells...its called a zygote.
I support abortion because 1) Our society is overpopulated as it is. You think there is a job shortage in this country? Wrong, there is a people OVERAGE. 2) I find it funny that those who are anti-abortion never talk of the tens of thousands of children in this country who are awaiting adoption, living in clinics, halfway houses and being fostered. Why outlaw abortion and only compound that problem? Women and couples have abortions because the child is unwanted. Why force them to have the child? Why feed the homeless child epidemic in this country?

I've seen them. I can honesty say that you have never explored the reason that pro-choice exists if this is your argument against abortion.
I suggest you learn about the thousands that have died when abortions were not available and the reasons woman sought out the procedure to get rid of a child. Until you do that you won't know what will happen when you make abortion illegal.

I don't support abortion. I think any woman that has an abortion is a filthy $lut that should have her uterus taken out so she is unable to breed. I'm not old enough to be a foster parent/ adopt a child or else I would. My fiance and I are planning on adopting when I finish school. We have 2 beautiful babies that we've supported from day 1. All of you saying that it's the woman's body, her right to choose; Shouldn't she be able to smoke crack as well? After all, it is her body.
Lloyd, I support the death penalty, people on deathrow DID SOMETHING TO BE THERE!!!! An innocent child has done nothing to be murdered.

sorry sweeter i support a womans right to choose. I dont support having kids that you cant take care of or 13 year olds with babies. I dont support taxes taking out of my check for welfare. Or postpartum depressions deaths of siblings.i dont support incest and victims of rape being reminded this 4 ever. Im not here to judge but to ask a question like that you mind as well ask why do people support bush? or making weed legal? its called personal decision and i doubt all the people who oppose abortion would take in all theses kids if the woman actually had them you would not be the one to wake up everynight spend all your money on pampers or changing stinky diapers.ive an abortion and some regret does exist about how would the baby look or how old would it be right now but thats something i have to live with not you. and if you would like to live with it then make sure u be the first to adopt unwanted babies.

because its not an issue of what is right or what is wrong. its an issue of the law. the government should not have the right to tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her body. if its wrong then god will judge, but it is not for man to judge or to govern what another person does with their life. for my own person i would never have an abortion, but it is not for me to decide how another woman lives her life. besides don't you think there are enough unwanted children on this earth? who's supposed to take care of all these children who's mothers can't do the job? i don't see a lot of pro lifers jumping at the chance.

Because I don't believe in the government telling women, or anyone for that matter, about what choices they can't make about medical procedures to their body. Additionally, it will just continue to happen illegally and be even more deadly and horrific.
