I saw a question about Americans being too lazy to get out and vote.
Then I noticed that YA politics is full of very opinionated posters. I was just wondering how many do get out and vote, do you think the ones that don't vote have a right to complain, and how many that are on here complaining aren't even old enough to vote.

Yesterday, Hillary Clinton proposed health-care reforms modeled on the Massachusetts plan developed and put in place by REPUBLICAN governor Romney.

The GOP has praised this plan and supported it as a needed reform that keeps the government from taking over health care.

Now--when it's proposed and supported by Democrats, they're calling it socialized medicine (which, eiter way, it isn't).

Is it possible for the neoconservatives to get any more hypocritical--or ludicrous?

The ACLU are ready to polish up their Conservative credentials. In a new twist to the Larry Craig story, that liberals are sure to eat up but swallow hard, the ACLU is coming to his rescue.

Of course, for the “non-partisan” organization, this is more about protecting perversion than politics or privacy. As much as the media will make a day out of a conservative getting support from the ACLU, its really the solicitation for sex that is being defended.

I imagine the Libs, in a nice medium blue denim jacket with a flower embroidered on the back, and maybe some nice slacks, And I imagine the conservatives uniform will look like a red leisure suit with ammo pouches.

I have been reading a biography on each of our Presidents the last year. It has been a sort of bird's eye view of American history, instructive, and, one really gets a sense of challanges facing each generation.

I mean. Lets get real. Sex in the Oval Office (deny it all you want, we all know it happened) Nothing to stop Terrorism. had Osama in his hands and just did nothing. PLEASE. I am not saying the Republicans are any better, but, they pale in comparison to this "in your face" distain of the American People and of the highest office in the land. the only thing he could do well is shovel the bull and the blind people believed. Between Him and Jimmy "Peanut Brain" Carter, you might have enough intelligence to fill a thimble. I will say this, we went from one extreme to the other. From a "do nothing" president to a "do something" President.

as an Englishman who owns the biggest company in the USA i feel i must ask this.
Most Americans who i have under me and most Americans in general have had beach balls(inflated)fitted into their jeans.
As these beach balls(inflated) are located at the rear they often resemble a large bottom and look rather bouncy and sometimes saggy.
Is this another trend those American chaps have thought of?

pulled up to the ampitheater at Arlington national cemetary. they laid a wreth at the tomb of the unknows they along with general Pace paid tribute to all veterans past present and future, then the buses loaded and rolled to the section where their loved ones are buried all in the conflicts in Iraq and Afganistan. This was one of the most sobering experiences I have ever had. watching as over 500 people filed off those buses flowers in hands to pay respects to thier loved ones all buried together in section 60. I dont want to make any statement here. just to say GO to that place and read those head stones.

We know that this warmongering and incompetent President is capable of anything particularly as he won't be there to deal with it.
