pulled up to the ampitheater at Arlington national cemetary. they laid a wreth at the tomb of the unknows they along with general Pace paid tribute to all veterans past present and future, then the buses loaded and rolled to the section where their loved ones are buried all in the conflicts in Iraq and Afganistan. This was one of the most sobering experiences I have ever had. watching as over 500 people filed off those buses flowers in hands to pay respects to thier loved ones all buried together in section 60. I dont want to make any statement here. just to say GO to that place and read those head stones.

Sobering......we have a war to fight.........and it is here on our own soil.

We must fight to remember and preserve what these brave ones have died for.

Arlington cemetary IS a testament against War. Just think of the soldiers who never made it home, or the ones who are not buried there.

I cannot imagine anybody thumbing down an answer here that has to do with offering respect for our fallen troops, and those who have not fallen, for that matter. They gave their lives or have gone willingly into harm's way so people would have the right to thumb down the answer in the first place. Hate war if you must, but have the common decency to respect what the troops go through for YOU.

I agree. My father-in-law was a Navy Captain and he and my mother-in-law are buried at Arlington National Cemetery. It is an awe-inspiring sight to go there and see row after row of the headstones of the brave troops who have given their lives for America.

God Bless Our Troops.
