After watching the video I think he deserved it.
Elbowing and pushing a cop ... not a good idea.

This is an example of liberal free speech. It is also an example of Kerry's inability to handle difficult situations. This kid should never have gotten tasered because a true leader would have been able to defuse the situation simply by answering the question intelligently. Kerry could not do that.
So those of you who voted for him in 2004, think about what Kerry would have done when confronted with a question from a North Korean sympathizer, or a question about tensions in the Middle East. If you think we are at war now, look what happened to this kid. Kerry would have done the same thing to a foreign dignitary.

Frankly, I'm not suprised a liberal wuss at UF would scream like a girl when getting tasered, but everyone else is... They cut his mike off for hogging the air time, and then he got belligerent and tried to interrupt the program. THEN, when the police went to escort him out, he resisted rather vigorously, requiring the police to subdue him. Once they had him on the ground, he continued to fight them, and even warned him he would be tasered if he didn't calm down.
The police were only doing their job at a Democrat sponsored event, and frankly, why would you fight the police when you are outnumbered?

Well it does seem his time was up,as you said,so at that point he should have left in an orderly manner, not scuffle with the cops as they tried to escort him away. Unfortunately he was a liberal, and therefore thinks he is more important than everyone else, and that his views are so important that he should not be limited to a certain amount of time,or any other limitations. And so he scuffled with those trying to lead him away in an orderly manner when his turn was over. If he didn't have what is clearly an over developed sense of importance and entitlement he wouldn't have ended up at the wrong end of a Taser, now would he?

This is a political question.
You will notice that it was not Kerry who gave the orders, it was the school officials. It's Florida - the New California, land of Granola.
Makes one wonder how the political clement in Florida got that why huh? Once political heads gain control of any state, the outlook for freedom is gloomy.

This guy is kinda out of whack and off base. The response was a little extreme, but he was asking for something.
OK, after watching the whole thing, I changed my mind.
This guy deserved everything he had coming. He is completely out of touch with reality, he was rude, belligerant and even John Kerry didn't seem to care for his attitude.

Just wait about six months after all of the hoopla settles down and they show the WHOLE video. I have learned from the Rodney King incident not to jump to conclusions until the media decides to show us what really happened and not what they want us to see.
Abuses do happen but usually people ask for it. I am always very nice to the police. You ARE WAY BETTER OFF THAT WAY. LOL

It's what happens when people ignore civility due to self delusional sense of entitlement. Fairly popular with modern americans...particularly college students.
