The ACLU are ready to polish up their Conservative credentials. In a new twist to the Larry Craig story, that liberals are sure to eat up but swallow hard, the ACLU is coming to his rescue.

Of course, for the “non-partisan” organization, this is more about protecting perversion than politics or privacy. As much as the media will make a day out of a conservative getting support from the ACLU, its really the solicitation for sex that is being defended.

The ACLU is a communist organization that has very little republican support. So they understand that they have lost a lot of ground over the past few years, in fact closing many offices, they are trying to kill three birds with one stone.
1. Garner conservative support.
2. Prove to conservative they will defend the constitution no matter the party.
3. Defend a liberal issue using a conservative to do so.
They still have one major problem. The 2nd Amendment, they don't seem to want to defend that "part" of the constitution.

The more I read your stuff the more you evidence yourself as an obfuscating ,manipulating often slanderous/libelous Bushite clone.

Yes in his early years Baldwin did in fact say the words you attribute to him about communism .In that era of the 1920s and early 30s ,many around the world including many famous people saw the USSR as a utopian excercize that would benefit the working classes .It was a view that came from "a good place" i.e. the hope for a system that protected the rights of ordinary working people against a viscious elite.

Needless to say that as the facts and truths began to filter out of the USSR and especially with Stalin's leadership ,most of these famous people and others realized the HONEST mistake they had made and had the INTELLECTUAL AND MORAL integrity to admit that they were wrong unlike the friggin Conservatives like BUSH ,CHENEY,RUMSFELD etc etc etc .

When Baldwin realized his mistake ,he became a rabid anti-communist purging the ACLU of all suspected communist members.

Regarding your question, the ACLU is taking on the Graig issue ONLY BECAUSE IT BELIEVES THAT ENTRAPMENT IS UN-CONSTITUTIONAL WHICH IN FACT A PREVIOUS SUPREME COURT DECISION SEEMS TO HAVE SUPPORTED.

THE ACLU HAS NO INTERESTS IN COMING TO THE DEFENCE OF GRAIG"S BEHAVIOR ,ONLY HIS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS .DO YOU HAVE A FRIGGIN PROBLEM WITH THE PROTECTION OF A CITIZENS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OR ARE YOU JUST ANOTHER YAHOO CONSERVATIVE BASTARDIZING REALITY TO SUIT YOUR OWN BLOODY AGENDA .

Perhaps YOU need to have YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS taken away and we can all watch you crawl to the ACLU's offices begging for help.

As a typical Conservative, you of course CHOOSE what rights you want to defend and which ones you don't.The word is HYPOCRITE.

Only a sick dysfunctional mind would think that the ACLU's
defence in this case is a defence of FRIGGIN PERVERSION.The ONLY perversion is YOU for even suggesting such an intellectually and morally bankrupt reason for the ACLU's decision.

The ACLU would defend Satan if it brought them attention and money. After all they support Fred Phelps and NAMBLA why not Craig too? I have to question whether or not the ACLU would be interested in this case if he had solicited a female prostitute for example. They have several agendas, one of which is to put conservatives in a negative light, They are likely to focus on the 'gay' issue saying that being a conservative and gay makes him a hypocrite. They seem to look at anything controversial and take whatever side will get them the most attention.

And just where did anyone admit or claim that sex was being solicited?

That's the big problem. He looked through the crack in the stall door. I've done that, and I sure wasn't interested in sex, I was trying to find out if I could use that stall or if someone else already had it. He then sat down in his stall and tapped his foot on the floor. This is solicitation? A crime?

The real problem here is that the cop didn't wait just a few more minutes to see if there was a genuine request for sex. Had there been one, this would have been open and shut, and there wouldn't be any sort of appeal.

The ACLU bases their cases on constitutionality and if someone's rights were stepped on..hence their involvement in the Rush Limbaugh oxycotin case.
I don't think they care about Larry Craig, or Rush, or whomever was involved in the NAMBLA case that so many Republican usually mention...

I don't think what he did should be condoned. I'm not a guy, but if I'm in a public restroom stall the last thing I want to see is some rogue hand and a foot tapping its way closer to my leg. Male, female, whoever. People should be able to go to the bathroom without being propositioned for sex.

The ACLU defends the bill of Rights. they do no longer p.c.. and decide their battles. i do no longer like it whilst they bypass to bat for the KKK, or the yankee Nazi celebration, yet I know that throughout an u.s. the place are rights have been heavily eroded, *somebody* is taking action. they are going to lose, yet i've got self assurance they know that.

When was the last time you heard of a man getting arrested for trying to pick up a woman in an airport?

Why is it that only gay men are targets?

I say good for the ACLU! Gay Repubican Senators, like Larry Craig, should be allowed to find anonymous sexual partners if they want.

It is absolutely the solicitation of sex. Glad to see someone who believes that Craig is actually guilty of something worse than he plead guilty to.

GoldenRae, This was a public restroom. Not a bedroom! How stupid do you have to be?

Pbviously you know nothing about the AlCU. A condition that I think you share on many subjects. The question is who are you really afraid of. Could it be yourself?
