Wow! How does a postal worker making $49,000/year (who just refinanced) afford to be soooo generous?

Look at almost any post that includes the word "liberal" or "conservative" in it. You'll find exactly what I'm talking about. It doesn't matter who posts it. For the most part, what you'll be seeing is a lot of backhanded arguments about how one side is stupid, or made up of Nazis, or full of socialists, tree-huggers, close-minded idiots, or corporate lapdogs. You'll see someone argue how that group hates America, or the poor, or minorities, or health care in general, or animals, or whatever. And the responses will always tend to feed into it.
What's the goal of all this? Can't we have a reasoned debate about it? At least give reasons for these vast claims of debauchery and wrongdoing, it'd be nice to know how and why you think this way. I'm reaching out to others online to find out what they've seen because there's no way this is getting solved soon. Is this just me seeing all this, or has debate gone the way of the Dodo?

To me, rebuilding a city lower than sea level – a city that will need to be rebuilt again and again, is just not logical.

Why not build a “New – New Orleans” on higher ground?

When a Republican does something stupid he is immediately asked to step down by Republican leadership.

Not so for the Democrats. Williams Jefferson still serves. Why haven't the Dems asked him to step down?

So which party has a culture of corruption?

So it turns out that Larry Craig plead guilty and was convicted of "Disorderly Conduct", not anything to do with lewd conduct or homosexuality. So the gay thing and the lewd conduct is just an unsubstantiated allegation, similar to all the unsubstantiated allegations against Bill Clinton. Why is everybody who was NOT in that bathroom claiming that it is a certainty that he solicited gay sex? Seems to me the only "fact" here is that he plead guilty to "disorderly conduct". Isn't this just a liberal distortion and hatchet-job?

We (Americans) can all buy food to eat, blankets for warmth, etc., at stores.

Does that mean hunters kill defenseless animals just for sport, or even worse, decoration???

What has happened to the much-ballyhooed liberal tolerance and inclusiveness? Last time I checked, the liberal tome was that homophobia indicates latent homosexuality, and that these poor people are forced by society to live in the closet for fear of persecution. So if Craig is in fact gay, isn't his membership in the Republican party just a symptom of his societally motivated need to cover himself from persecution? I don't know why he wouldn't be embraced with loving arms and encouraged to come out of the closet and embrace his true self and join the Liberal utopia..... unless liberal tolerance and inclusiveness is all a bunch of BULL! So what's the deal?

Why does it seems liberals have NO sense of humor?
You mention something about Hillary in a dominatrix outfit, or a humorous response to a stupid " why are all cons......" ?, and you get reported. You would think I was insulting their god or something.
Libs, prove to me you have a sense of humor.

In other words, if aint Bush's baby you aint funded.

"You're doing a heckuva job Brownie".

But in New Orleans Uncle Sam says screw you, we need our $10 Billion a month for Iraq.

Isnt it disgusting, a "christian" nation has THESE priorities?

"My attitude is this: New Orleans, better days are ahead. It's sometimes hard for people to see progress when you live in a community all the time," he said following a moment of silence at 9:38 a.m. local time, when the levees broke and the city began to flood.

This is TOTALLY about militarized economic globalization.
It's been wrapped up in patriotism and fighting terror for your support!

How can anyone believe otherwise?
Because the guys (Bush/Cheney) who will financially profit the most from this globalization told you so?

This war has been brought to you by the PNAC.
These aholes had strategic military battle plans already drawn up in 1998-99 when they were orgainizing GW's presidential campaign!
They even tell you what is needed to accomplish these goals...."A Pearl Harbor type of event"....quite the coincidence that 9 months after his Supreme Court 'appointment' to the Presidency he gets this "Pearl Harbor type of event"
Really??????
It's dot to dot! The even gave us a map!!

The ex-President did very little to advance "liberal" causes:
-he passed NAFTA, a horrible trade bill that's slowly demolishing the American working class.
-instituted "don't ask don't tell" instead of allowing gay people to serve openly in the military (or at least not be ejected if found to be gay)
-did not vigourously pursue a universal health care bill
- passed a Federal death penalty bill
- passed "welfare to workfare" which hurt the poorest of the poor.

and there's more....but that's plenty of non-liberal stuff to begin with. So, I ask again, what was so "liberal" about him?

U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., said there are limits. Even though she described herself as "a tax-and-spend liberal," Waters said the federal government can't do everything. Besides, she said, there are some problems that need to be solved by local and state governments.

"I would not look to the Congress of the United States to solve those problems," she said. "Where is the heat that has been placed on your state government?” “What about putting some heat under them?"

We want our fellow American fed and sheltered, we might disagree on how to best achieve that goal.

We may disagree on the solution, but at least we need to know there is a problem.

Have you ever taken a few moments to do a search on Snopes or Wiki . I can't remember which one , but one of them(I think Snopes) has a detailed list of what they call 'logical' explanations for all of them . But ya know what I find to be more incredible ? The many , many victims that died in a plane crash , and automobile accidents .
I don't care how many people the Clintons know , there's no way that anyone could know so many plane crash victims all from separate plane crashes . That's not even close to credible .
IBM 'knows' lots of people. . . . do they have as many plane crashes ?
George Bush knows lots of people. . . . do they have as many plane crashes ?

Billy Graham knows loads of people. .. . do they have as many plane crashes ?

I never spent much time on the subject , but after someone posted a question about it , I looked it up and I'm telling ya there's a ton of unanswered questions and a ton of bullsh!t lies and excuses .
Can someone post a link(I can't) to it ?

Now , even democrats support the war in Afghanistan , so I'm actually expecting to see wide agreement on this . . . . . but one never knows .

I just don't get it . Do you ?

I have to admit I must live a sheltered life because I was shocked hearing the details of the Craig scandal. Toe tapping signals for sleazy bathroom sex! I've never heard of such a thing. Don't people go to cheap motels anymore? Are we missing the point here. There is a bigger issue here that I think we are missing. Don't straights and children also use these bathrooms. It's really a sad statement about our society.
