Bush used people according to their talents and qualifications. Clinton just used token blacks in order to try and buy their votes and loyalty.

Maybe they were more qualified than other applicants? Not everything is about race. Maybe you should think this through a little more. Don't assume that because there are fewer blacks some place at one time and more at another that some white person is automatically responsible. I've come across mostly rude, poorly dressed, difficult to understand VERY racist black people in my area. Yet every once in awhile I come across someone who is both black and a normal person. Of course that's the person who's going to get the job (if I were hiring). Eventually, if someone hires the first qualified applicant one after another you will eventually accumulate some diversity. And don't forget, diversity includes white people.

Bush has a few top level appointees, Clinton appointed more minorities and women overall, the dems don't need to try harder to accept diversity.

Too bad most of Bush's appointees are incompetent and were put into office because they are blindly loyal to Bush -- Gonzalez, Rice etc. Powell was appointed for his prestige and then the administration ignored him, fed him lies, and disrespected him.

People regarded as equals don't require patronage...

Take patronage away from the Democrats and their already foggy platform takes a spectral form.

It doesn't matter. Bush could have his entire cabinet comprised of black folks and he would still be derided as a racist redneck. Look at the way they viciously attack Condi Rice. A woman the black community should be proud of and hold up as a role model. Do they? Hell no! They call her an oreo and make vicious and hurtful jokes about her. Democrats and liberals are despicable and evil people.

Maybe because the individuals were more qualified to fill the position than any other person? Does it really matter what color they are... and u only named 2 people, that's not a lot...
