I am not American but I live in America. THE Flag is a symbol. A flag is a piece of cloth. You can burn a piece of cloth. You cannot burn THE Flag. We can only destroy it's meaning by betraying the foundations on which our country was established. I'd really prefer that kids pledge allegiance to the Constitution the way elected officials do, "to preserve, protect and defend"

No funds for the war means no war for Halliburton and the rest of the moneygrabbers. It isn't as if the govt is giving all of the veterans what they need and deserve when they return home. It isn't as though they are giving our young men and women all that they need in the "war" effort either
So----why hasn't Congress acted? Are they too caught up in the 'moneygrabbing' effort--for themselves of course.
Ask yourselves. Does Gerogewbush really give a ratzbehind for our troops? What is going on in his mind? Why a request for so much more money when we should be working towards bringing the troops home?
What is really going on in the minds of our representatives?

He just does as he wants with impunity. Congress talks a foolish talk. Americans sit back thinking that pouring money down an endless hole will keep us safe and secure.
That a Lame Duck president is still able to dupe all of these people is mindboggling.
