Hilary Clinton in the polls is sporting an almost 2 to 1 lead over the next highest polling Democrat, Obama. If you listen to the network news it's almost fait accompli: Now before you say anything, consider this question:

Could this be a set up to insure that the Republicans get exactly the candidate they want in the 2008 election?

Think about it:

1) The candidate with the highest disapproval rating of all candidates is leading the polls. She's hated by the right wing and listening to Air America out here in California, she's definately not loved here either.

2) Of all the candidates in the Democratic field, who do you think that the Republicans can throw the most dirt at? There is easily 15 years of dirt just from the second Bill Clinton took the oath of office to draw on.

3) Rove isn't retiring after Labor day for his health or a rap career. If the dirt flies, will the boy genius not be close to the shovel?

Just think about it a bit and answer.

Why is it, americans are willing to elect politicians that continue to be controlled by corporations. Politicians that allow the corps to make laws in their favor and NOT look out for common middle class people? Yet you scream and whine and cry at electing someone that might keep the corporations in control BUT raise your taxes a 100 dollars a year. WHY IS THAT?

Winning favortism over to Republicans?

I would not be surprised, because in 2004 and 2006 terror threats were coming at all ends created by the media to "scare" people into voting Republican. Fear seems to be a good Republican tactic.

Now, do you assume that Iraq stabilization will happen giving people a more opmisitc look at Republicans for their "stay the course" out look on Iraq instead of Democrats who want to get out?

For the sake of this question, I'm not including the middle class (and I'm assuming only three classes).

The proportion of the US population languishing in jail now stands at 737 per 100,000, the highest rate on earth and some five to twelve times that of Britain, France and other Western European countries or Japan. With 5 percent of the world's population, the United States has close to a quarter of the world's prisoners, which, curiously enough, is the same as its annual contribution to global warming.
With 2.2 million people behind bars and another 5 million on probation or parole, it has approximately 3.2 percent of the adult population under some form of criminal-justice supervision, which is to say one person in thirty-two. For African-Americans, the numbers are even more astonishing. By the mid-1990s, 7 percent of black males were behind bars, while the rate of imprisonment for black males between the ages of 25 and 29 now stands at one in eight.

Both Bush and Hitler had wars that were going well, Bush in afganistan, and Hitler on the western front. Then both of them made the mistake of attaking a neutral country. Hitler attacked the USSR and this is one of the main reasons he lost WWII, Bush attacked Iraq and Al Qaeda recovers it's strength... So Hitler had his two Fronts and Bush has his two wars, Maybe Bush is a fan, or maybe he;s just too dumb to realize learning history can help us today.

I would have to say that blacks are more discriminated. People classify white women as minorities as blacks but really they cant be considering the fact that there have been way more white women governors and that a white women has a better chance of being a us president than a black.
Also it has been shown that even though white women did not have as much power as a white male, they were given certan protections.
1. Not being forced to fight in a war and almost never being sent to death row for capital crimes in the past.
Lynching have never been used on white women no matter how serious of a crime they was charged with.
Also from since the 1950's it has been proven that decisions made in divorce such as almony and child custody have proven to benefit women of all races, including white women.
And then another example of this double standard is that white women such as mary letourneau and debra lafave who sleep with boys are not punished as harshly as vice versa.

Liberals Discover Family Values Matter

RUSH: I love this story. "'Family Ties Key to Youth Happiness' -- So you're between the ages of 13 and 24. What makes you happy? A worried, weary parent might imagine the answer to sound something like this: Sex, drugs, a little rock 'n' roll. Maybe some cash, or at least the car keys. Turns out the real answer is quite different. Spending time with family was the top answer to that open-ended question, according to an extensive survey -- more than 100 questions asked of 1,280 people ages 13-24 -- conducted by The Associated Press and MTV on the nature of happiness among America's young people. ... Nearly three-quarters of young people say their relationship with their parents makes them happy. 'They're my foundation,' says Kristiana St. John, 17, a high-school student from Queens in New York. 'My mom tells me that even if I do something stupid, she's still going to love me no matter what. Just knowing that makes me feel very happy and blessed.' Other results are more disconcerting." And, of course, what AP story would not be complete without this next finding. "While most young people are happy overall with the way their lives are going, there are racial differences: the poll shows whites to be happier, across economic categories, than blacks and Hispanics." (Laughing.) Even in a what-makes-you-happy poll, woman, minorities, poor, et al, are the hardest hit. "You might think money would be clearly tied to a general sense of happiness. But almost no one said 'money' when asked what makes them happy."

Now, let me sum this up. All of the things that conservatives have been fighting liberals over for the last 50 years: strong family ties, controlled sex, religion, faith, parents, according to this poll, were right, and they, the liberals, are wrong. The old-fashioned things that we fought to save and they've fought to destroy in the end are what make kids happy, secure, and healthy individuals. You know what I didn't find? I read the whole story. I didn't find one kid that said government makes them happy. I didn't find one kid that said, "Yeah, my senator makes me happy." I didn't find one kid, one answer here that said, "My congressman makes me happy." I didn't see anything in here about a village making kids happy. Parents, yes. God, yes. Friends, yeah. Sex did not show up that much in terms of providing happiness. Now, this is going to be buried, but if it were not buried this would turn liberal education theory and feminism, sociology, the Democratic Party platform, and MTV on their ears. They'll adjust this to these conservative fuddy-duddies, and they'll start promoting religion, parents staying together for their kids -- yeah, right. I don't think we'll get that kind of promotion from them. At any rate, I found the whole thing just invigorating.

We got a sound bite from Hillary Clinton coming up here in which she says she's been fighting those people, meaning us, for 35 years. When I saw that, it got me to thinking, who has she been fighting and for what? I got to thinking, do we fight them? I think, yeah, we do, but there's a fine-line distinction. For example, this program. This program is aimed at you, the people. We conservatives engage in an intellectual pursuit. We want you to be intellectually understanding of conservatism, be able to apply it, be able to learn it so well you can explain it and be persuasive. In the process, when we are attacked by people like Mrs. Clinton who admits doing it for 35 years, we will then jump to the defense of ourselves and others and point out things about them. But the fine-line difference is that they are doing the exact opposite. They are not trying to expand the minds or the opportunities of the people they want to vote for them. They are trying to destroy their enemies. I say it's a fine line. I wouldn't mind politically destroying the left, but we do it in much different ways.

So you have a story here about childhood happiness, or youthful happiness, and you find out that basic traditional values are what bring it about, especially in this day and age. In fact, this poll actually doesn't surprise me, folks. Given all of the pitfalls and the decay, the perversion, and the destructive nature of pop culture and the way it's reported, these were pretty heartening results, especially when the sponsoring agencies here are AP and MTV. It's one of the reasons why I'm always optimistic. I always think the future is bright. In the midst of all this turmoil and angst and chaos and the perception that the younger generation is going to hell in a handbasket, which every adult generation always thinks, by the way, there are real signs of optimism out there. For young people to say what they said here, it means they have a pretty solid foundation, a pretty solid understanding of what gives life its real meaning, and real meaning in your life, that's something that a lot of people never grow up to find or they find it pretty late. So I was encouraged by it.

Oil is one of the most precious commodities in the world. But do Oil companies really have as much power and control as the liberals would have us believe? Do they really influence elections, have certain politicians on their payroll, obstruct the development of the electric car and are they really buying up all the renewable energy companies?

Or is this all conspiratorial liberalist bullshit?
