The only one in congress that tried to bring up a draft bill (for political grandstanding)was a Dem. And it got voted down by an overwhelming majority. So to answer your question not very likely at all.

Again with this? Come up with something new, it was used in '04, no draft yet. Call Bush, the evil galactic overlord Xenu, or something. This recycled rhetoric is sad, old, and boring.

it is just a tactic by the administration to get rid of all the liberals , the whole immigration issue was just a master plan . Think of it as a trade for hard working family oriented people for brainwashed hippies . Mexico will be full of porn shops and marijuana fields in about 3 years

Whyareyouaposer, are you talking about the same bed wetting draft dodgers like Bush who went AWOL from the guard or Cheney? Don't tell me you're so daft that you believe only republicans fight in war. How many medals and tours did Bush do? John Kerry did two tours in Nam and received many medals of honor. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. As for the question, I don't think it will happen. And sweetpea, the army reserve is 9% short of their goal for this year. Without the reserve and they are a critical part of our forces supplying soldiers with tanks from Kuwait and clearing bomb riddled roads of IED's.

Very unlikely, since it would be counterproductive. It's primarily a rhetorical tool of the anti-war crowd. They figure if they can stir up fear of the draft, they'll gain support from young men who would potentially be subjected to it (and thier families).

It's just been floated by Bush's war czar. So far, there's no other action on it, but you can be sure that when Bush administration officials start talking about something, they mean to make it a reality..

We have met our recruitment goals last month and in fact have exceeded them year to date. No draft needed.

I pray for a draft...I own stock in the company that makes Depends...and if there is a draft millions of bed wetting liberals will be running and screaming fleeing to Canada...like their pathetic draft dodging fathers before them.

brak44: send me your address I will send you a case of Depends on the house.

Not that likely. There is speculation, but every congressman knows that it will sink his re-election bid, so it won't happen.
