Winning favortism over to Republicans?

I would not be surprised, because in 2004 and 2006 terror threats were coming at all ends created by the media to "scare" people into voting Republican. Fear seems to be a good Republican tactic.

Now, do you assume that Iraq stabilization will happen giving people a more opmisitc look at Republicans for their "stay the course" out look on Iraq instead of Democrats who want to get out?

Bush only - you didn't answer my question though. Since Iraq is on the verge of collapase right now, do you assume that it will somehow "stabilize" or get better than it is now the closer we get to 2008 winning favortism over to Rerpublicans? i beleive this. I think this is going to happen.

People will think that Republicans have it "right" and they are doing the right thing in Iraq and Democrats are wrong. I suspect a "wag the dog" kind of thing, but, I do NOT buy into conspiracies, I just study media.

No, the only way that the occupation will still be going on at that time is if they up the deployments to 24 months and or cut the home time to just 3 months and if that happens you will see mass desertions so that strategy would still not provide enough troops to keep it going. They may cut some more slack on enlistment regulations to allow death row inmates to sign up to keep the war profiteering going.

Probably, almost certainly not. We must stay the course and re-surge because things really are not going very well on the ground or politically. We are in for a long haul here, a tough fight for our President Bush.

The military commanders may want to Cut N Run from the fight in Iraq but our President Bush will stand tall. I am certain he will extend the surge by extending tours and reducing home time, perhaps for the duration.

With war with the Terrorist Iranian Military imminent I think it is logical and reasonable to suspend the elections.

No, it will not stabilize in time for the elections, it may get worse. It would take years for the situation to stabilize. The only way we can spin this to our side is to expand the war. Iran=Terror. Iran is causing Iraq to be a failure with Terrorism. We must attack Iran to save Iraq and America.
