in this forum? Just curious, because I sure have. We have one who has recently popped in from of all places, China. This person immediately made it very clear that he/she, hated ALL conservatives and hangs around knocking our country, our President and looks for sympathizers to agree. Of course, there are plenty.

Is it possible that these are actually terrorists who would like to keep us divided by trashing one side and gaining support from the other?

For those who don't realize it, here is some of the strategy that they use:

You should enter into debate or respond only if it is extremely necessary... Your concern should [only] be introducing topics which... will cause [them to feel] frustration and anger towards their government..., which will... render them hostile to Bush... and his Republican Party.

Why else would 'outsiders' show up in these forums? Your opinions are looked forward to.

Thanks. :)

A Dutch lawmaker under fire for urging that the Koran be banned in his country says he will press ahead with the proposal, and submit it in the form of a parliamentary resolution next month.

Geert Wilders of the right-wing Freedom Party told Cybercast News Service that since calling for a ban -- in a letter published Wednesday in the newspaper De Volkskrant -- he had received death threats and criticism, "but fortunately also many positive responses from voters."

Question - What are your thoughts ?

1. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

2. The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

3. Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

4. "Standing Tall for America'" means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multinational corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

6. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

7. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

8. Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

9. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

10. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

11. HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

12. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

13. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

14. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

15. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is Solid defense policy.

16. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

17. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.

18. You support states' rights, which means Attorney General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter initiatives they have a right to adopt.

19. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.

20. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

The purpose of this question is to see how democrats and republicans on here can be honnest about the pros and cons of president Bush, or they can only resort to Bush bashing or Bush deification.

OK, so I was watching his pre-vaca presser, and someone asked him about Gonzales. His response "congress hasn't accused him of any wrongdoing."
WTF!!

If congress is conducting a criminal investigation of you, haven't they accused you of, well, ummm, wrongdoing?
Aren't they saying "We think you did something wrong and we're looking into it."?

A Morgantown man, his mother and his friend are suing McDonald's for $10 million.
The man says he bit into a hamburger and had a severe allergic reaction to the cheese melted on it.

Jeromy Jackson, who is in his early 20s, says he clearly ordered two Quarter Pounders without cheese at the McDonald's restaurant in Star City before heading to Clarksburg.

His mother Trela Jackson and friend Andrew Ellifritz are parties to the lawsuit because they say they risked their lives rushing Jeromy to United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.

Iraq will never be the same again just like Vietnam. can Iraq heal? with time and not under occupation. no long lasting government has been developed under occupation ounce the occupying country withdrawals its forces, a struggle for power or civil war in sues. by remaining in Iraq we are only delaying the inevitable.any government implemented by force will be met with resistance by the people of Iraq. in doing this we give the the Taliban and other anti-American groups more allies. will it ever be like before? not as long as we (the usa) are there...

For decades, the United States has been slipping in international rankings of life expectancy, as other countries improve health care, nutrition and lifestyles.

Countries that surpass the U.S. include Japan and most of Europe, as well as Jordan, Guam and the Cayman Islands.

Should we allow elected leaders to trick us into doing things that we would never agree on by giving us false or misleading information, creating a big mess, and by the time we realize the truth have them tell us that we might as well keep doing that thing that we would never have done cause a greater mess will ensue?

Should we allow them anyone to get away with this sort of thing?

How the US fought the Taliban, and now seeks to pick a fight with Iran because they are/were oppresive, radical theocracies,.... yet the crazed, overzealous bible-thumpers in the government are demanding that United States form all international and domestic policies on thier narrow, hateful, profane interpretation of christianity?

Do they honestly believe a radical Christian theocracy is any different than an Islamic one??

How can they justify this hypocrisy?

I've noticed something, Conservatives always try to deflect criticism of Bushco.
If you criticize him, the response is, "look what Clinton did!" (you can almost hear the false indignation in their deflection).
If you mention the amount of dead soldiers in Iraq, the response is, "look how many died in WW II or Vietnam, we haven't lost that many troops".
ANY criticism at all, they point at someone else and say,"yeah, but look what THEY did". How pathetic is that? They sound like that snotty nosed kid who's been busted but points at others, you know the type.

I found this in a letter to the editor of a newspaper:

I envision an old Iraqi man sitting at an outdoor bazaar with his 6-year-old granddaughter, who is coloring pictures for her mommy who is working as a civil rights attorney in downtown Baghdad. Her father travels throughout the country as a building engineer. The grandfather's weathered face will gently smile as she asks if he wants her to draw a picture for him. He nods yes as he reflects upon all the hustle and bustle around them.

It wasn't always this way. His thoughts drift back to a time of horrible oppression when he lodt uncles and cousins to the brutal regime of a ruler whose name never deserves mention again. As a convert to Christianity, he knows they smile from heaven at what has now become of their country. After a terrible, bloody transition and monumental human sacrifice where coalition troops, along with his own countrymen, finally brought lasting freedom, he and his granddaughter now rest in an Iraq that is a

Before 1913 there was no income tax, no federal 'safety nets,' and very little interference by the government into the economy and medicine.

Of course, since then, we've been involved in both world wars and invaded half a dozen countries, unprovoked. Businesses buy politicians and get repaid with billions in corporate welfare. The same two parties keep getting elected on the same old promises that they never deliver. Human rights and freedom have been written into the most narrow definitions imaginable.

Promises promises promises. 90 years of socialism later and who is better off: the average worker or the ultra-rich? The one who pays taxes or the one who collects them?
