Should we have an American Riechstag fire,
Under this president's broad abuse of executive privelege, you may never get to vote for another president again - ever. ( until the hypothectical temporary suspension of the Constitution and our martial law is rescended) - if certain things happen I wonder if we will have an election in 2008, not just that it will be free and fair.

Don't be bitter; its the law.
Scooter Libby found guilty of a non crime, while Sandy Berger walks a free man?
Dems are a bunch of cry baby, sue happy bitches; Repubs lost their balls & the yearn to fight back.
Politicians: Dem/ Repub, Lib/Con, just do your damn job for the good of the people of the USA. Enough with the middle school bickering.

Executive privilege in the hands of the unscrupulous, like Nixon and Bush, destroys the US constitution, the bill of rights, all the laws of this nation and shreds the moral fabric of society.

Nixon's statement certainly applies to Bush "When the President does it, its not against the law."

The only possible connection is that Executive Privilege allows the govt hide what it was doing, so that you didn't realize how criminal and corrupt they had become -- which is what allowed you to vote for Bush a second time.

Other than that, the issues are unrelated.

Still not clear.

I agree that it is bad that the President can protect himself from Libby testifying against him using his power to pardon, but that has little to do with elections.

I think that many Bush supporters have shown their respect and adulation for their hero by voting twice in the past two presidential elections.
The first election was because of selection, not election.
The second one was hmmmmmm.......

?? It doesn't... Libby, or his case, has nothing to do with Executive Privilege... you really need to study how government operates.
