The Florida Everglades has been taken off the endangered list by the Dept. of Interior, per Bush. Do some reading. This is just one example.

No, you can't bend what you don't believe. Science? That's for sissies. President Bush is doing exactly what he did as Governor of Texas, letting business pollute everything they touch in the quest for profits.

Personally, I don't think G. Wa*ker Bush is capable of making any decisions by himself (except whether or not he should get out of bed to go to the bathroom!). Of course this war on science is based on his administration's religious dogma AND politics. The corporations run USA and some of the arms dealers are huge corporations. Religion helps to keep the world in a state of war. That's my opinion!

He bent the truth to suit his purpose and get us into war in Iraq. He bent the numbers to distort financial accounability for his spending. He bent fair procedure by giving Halliburton a no bid contract when they have direct ties into the White House. He tries to bend science or rather just ignore science. I guess when he calls himself the Decider, that means he decides lots more than troop movement. I expect to hear him say he has decided the world is flat just any day now.

As to the global warming lady.......it does not take a genius to know that you add toxins to your environment that eventually it will have an effect. Republicans are like birds that soil their own nests and then announce to the world that it is spiffy clean. Why don't you let people with the educations in science tell you what is going on and listen? This theory has been in effect long before Bush came into power. They have done lifelong studies in the subject. Bush has not.

I don't think so, but global warming scam artists bend science to promote a mythical, magical theory that cannot be proven without hundreds of years of temperature readings we do not have.

Just google McKintyre and NASA or Mann's hockey stick to see the one man wonder single handedly destroy the scam artists fudged methods they refused to release.

Uh, yes?

Take for example the under reported case where the Surgeon General was "muzzled" by the Bush administration.

No....and there is no PROOF any such thing has happened. Global Warming and the Health sCare crisis are makings of the libs. That is the inconvenient truth.

edit: nice twist, but scientists well downplay many things to keep funding coming in, even if it means bending science or using talking points as scare tactics. I bet when the whole story (not just Times) comes out it won't be so scary.

Bend? Hell no they don't bend. They break. They smash. They lie, distort, fabricate. One of the biggest tragedies of the Bush administration has been the dismantling of the US scientific infrastructure. It will take us years to recover...

To earn an Income from science you often rely on grant money and anyone who is not politically correct is out of the funding .

Actually, I think they just ignore science, as it is of the Devil. GW has Gawd on speed dial don't you know? With almighty deities on your side, what need have you for understanding the world around us, curing disease, increasing our lifespan? Why would we want to use science to make this earth a better place, when we are all going to meet the fantastic sky daddy in his palace in the sky? Why, the earth is coming to an end as it said in the bible, so there is no need to slow that pace. Let's rush headlong to Armageddon!! Praise Cheezus!!!
