Sounds like you are describing verbatim what happened in Iraq. Had we known all the facts, we would never have agreed to go there. We were fed bad information, or cherry picked information that matched what the Bush cabal wanted to do all along. Of course, when the truth came out, it was too late, and we were already there on the ground, and had to accept the facts on the ground. A huge mess came about, and now we are told that we cannot leave or (gulp) iraq will destabilize and be controlled by Alquaeda, and the terrrorists will follow us home. It would all be comical if it was not so sad.

That isn't the biggest issue.
All the amendments added to bills that never see a debate and few know about are how most garbage gets passed!
I think a bill should be a bill, and other non-related items should be entered as bills instead of trying to insure their passage in a manner that should be illegal!
They have been pulling the wool for way to long and it needs to stop! A bill should rise or fall on it's own merits, not that someone attached a money bill to it with no debate and without it seeing light of day! I am tired of that type of government!

If you are being tricked, then how would you know it? lol
Should we hold them accountable for their lies? Of course! The only problem is that they often control the information so proving they are lying is not easy, often until after-the-fact when they are already out of office.
Politics, especially after the last 8 years???? BAH HUMBUG.

of course not, but people are often to lazy to not just take what the bush administration says at face value. and that is the true problem.

They have been doing this for years and getting away with it. People (aka "voters") are too pathetic, ignorant and uncaring to stop them doing it but, hey, that's "Democracy!"
