We seem to be going in full circle here. We had the same problem in 2000 and look what happened. Opening the arena for running so early may help the Americans pay closer attention whereby better selecting the best possible leadership. I think we are paying a high price today for placing a war president in office and keeping him there for 2 terms.

Please revisit the movie "Thirteen Days". realize how President Kennedy was almost pushed into WW3. Thank God there were brains around the table in 1962. I can just imagine how the brass over powered Bush into war after 9/11.

Haven't we learned our lesson yet.

The answer is we the American people cannot permit the leaders from being out of touch. In France the Government does what the citizens demand. We need to take charge.

As a general statement, yes our leaders are out of touch.

Which side is wrong or clueless depends on what you personally believe -- and it doesn't break down that easily.

But regardless of which side you're on -- our politicians don't listen to the American people, and don't put America first -- they aren't solving our problems --- and that is a problem.

Yes, that's why I vote for the Constitution Party, because the lesser of the 2 evils are still evil.

Yup... but do they really care? The American people only make a fraction of their contributions... and we never pay for expensive lunches, dinners, and rounds of golf.

yes, they are out of touch.....sadly they both have some correct agendas but overall both sides are mucking things up........what we need is someone that has tasted the poor life (not that lying turdsack edwards) to be in office that really wants to serve America and not line their pockets...

The majority of them are. But in order to be a high ranking politician in this country, you have to have lots of $$. The MAJORITY of people in this country don't.
