Ok, you all know the deal. 9/11 Conspiracy theorists ask the questions like "Why did building 7 collapse?", "Why did the towers go straight down?", or "Why was there no plane wreckage at the Pentagon?"

Now, indeed, maybe there are simple answers to these questions. However, when the US government refuses to give those simple answers, that is what makes the people believe the theories.

At the beginings of Islam, the entire Middle East was Christian. Islam conquered the Middle East, North Africa, Spain and most of the Byzantine Empire through war and subjugation and dhimmitude. It was only after their invasion of the Byzantine Empire that the Byzantine emperor pleaded with Pope Urban II for help. That is how the crusades came about. They were not unprovoked attacks on innocent Muslims, but a defensive reaction to centuries of Islamic aggression. This is real history that you can look up for yourself.

This President and those elected congressmen and women must do what is right .
They know that an economy based on war can only thrive as long as there is a war going on .
Since Eisenhower warned America years ago about this I can not say we were not warned .
I hate war ,but the reality like all politicians know is our economy is based on this and its not going to change anytime soon .
So like some people on here if you want a better life its time to just join them and support an increase in our imperial control and gunboat diplomacy in order to enjoy those things that are most important . Family and friends who support one another so that we are not faced with joining the military and risking our lives . If we work hard and stick together none of our kids need ever worry about going to war in a foreign land instead they can complete college and go to work supplying and profiting from the wars that we so desperately need to expand our economy .
Lets get behind Bush its whats best.

There is no denying that Gordon is not as fond of the americans than tony was but I believe that we should stay friends with the US. After all, the US are the most powerful country in the world. If we combined friendship with eachother closer, we would be unstoppable. Do you think it was wise of gordon to shun george bush almost immediately after taking over?

DO you just sit here spouting off or do you ever take the time to do something about it .
After 35 years of writing letters and sending e-mails as government offices provided addresses for electronic mail do you feel you have any impact or like me that the machine moves on its path regardless of your efforts .
I continue to let them know what I think regardless .
Do you also take a moment or two out of your week to let them know or waste all your time here complaining .
If more people took the time maybe we could have an impact .

Yes, some Democrats voted for the war at its onset, and we all wished for the best, but its was proudly a "Republican" undertaking and it was SUPPOSED to be a "Republican" victory.

Now, four years later, it is seen for the disaster that it is. What to do? Easy: Blame others.Dont blame yourself, heaven forbid, that would be TAKING RESPONSIBILITY for your trust in the Bush Administration, and its consequences.

One example of how bad the rage has gotten from Republicans passing the buck is as follows:
"You dems are personally responsible for this problem . Nothing anyone says to you can even possibly be REAL . You have made your bed , now go sleep in that disgusting rat-infested hell ."-Earnest P,phd/THC.

Saying Democrats "want" defeat and surrender is beyond childish at this point, it is costing us more American lives every day. Either win handily or get out,Republicans.

And oh yeah, he calls himself a "christian",too.Nice.
The "rat infested" hell is the Republican's spin.

Now, I'm not saying that Iran is a peace loving or even fair country. But as long as Iran keeps its nuclear program transparent enough for the IAEA, I see no problem in them having a nuclear energy problem.

Why is AIPAC and Israel feel the need to interfere with American politics?

It seems that whenever we liberals show concern towards the disenfranchised in some manner or other, we are often called "bleeding hearts". Since when did compassion become a bad thing? Isn't it better to have a "bleeding heart" than no heart at all?

just close school at 1:00
Instead of building schools all the time, we could just have
larger schools to begin with, and we could have
city activity centers for parents that work all day, which is most people.

In other words, have the DISD school, teaching 3 MEANINGFUL classes a day, and save all this useless study hall and extra cariculum BS for the activity centers, which would run from 1:00 - 7:00 pm.

You would still have football and cheerleading, it would just be
EXAMPLE: Yellowjacket football team
REPRESENTING: The DISD ACTIVITY CENTER
(rather than the actual school)

YELLOW JACKET CHEERLEADERS
Representing: THE YELLOW JACKET ACTIVITY CENTER

It would be free, since it is part of DISD, and optional.

I have heard people who are against anti-hate crime legislation argue that ALL crimes are hate crimes. I disagree. After all, there are PLENTY of people who commit crimes that aren't necessarily motivated by hate. For example, a crack addict who robs a convenience store and kills the clerk just to feed his addiction isn't committing a hate crime. After all, the murder of the clerk wasn't motivated by hatred, but by fear and profit. Not only that, but hit men don't commit hate crimes, because the murders they commit are motivated by profit, not hate. Don't you think there's a huge difference between these instances and, say, murdering someone on the basis of sexual orientation, race, and religion?

Maybe I am wrong to suggest that liberals hate America.

Maybe I just disagree with them in which direction America should be heading.

This is not sarcasm or a joke.

I'll have to think on this some more...

Everyone likes to say, "Hitler did this", and, "Hitler did that". But the truth is Hitler did very little. He was a world class tyrant, but the evil actually done by the Third Reich, from the death camps to WW2 was all done by German citizens who were afraid to question if what they were told by their government was the truth or not, and who because they did not want to admit to themselves that they were afraid to question the government, refused to see the truth behind the Reichstag Fire, refused to see the invasion by Poland was a staged fake, and followed Hitler into national disaster.

Really, I'm astounded at how much hate there is for capitalism out there. All other economic systems have been largely discredited... and capitalism has been able to create the greatest amount of wealth for the greatest number of people the world has ever known... Capitalism has allowed the average person to live a decent life in places like the USA, UK, Australia, New Zeland, Hong Kong, Chile, Japan, Germany, and other capitalist nations... Socialism has made it so there is a small class of elites with great wealth, and the vast majority of the populas is destitute... look at North Korea, the Soviet Union, Zimbabwe, China, India (both are moving toward capitalism and thus improving, yet look at their history)... In nearly every case you'll find the more government intervention in economics there is, the less well off the average people are, yet everywhere I go people hate capitalism! Why is this?

A respected member of the Answers community asked if the "dumbing down of America" is due to our not paying teachers more.

It made me wonder.

Are teachers intentionally teaching inadequately in protest of their wages...are they on strike?

Will they mend their ways when we increase their pay
... or do we increase teachers salaries to attract more competent teachers and then can the ones we have now?

Another person here has posted a question in which she argues that the hate crimes bill that the Senate is considering is unnecessary, because all crimes are hate crimes. However, I beg to differ. Matthew Shepard was beaten, pistol-whipped, tied to a fence, and left to die, simply because he was gay. James Byrd, Jr. was chained to a pickup truck and dragged until he was decapitated, just because he was black. There is a HUGE difference between committing atrocities such as these on the basis of race, sexual orientation, and religion and killing someone simply because of a personal grudge or for profit. After all, there's big difference between dragging a man to death just because he's black and robbing a convenience store and shooting the cashier just to get money to feed a drug habit. Our government needs to send a message LOUD AND CLEAR that crimes that motivated by prejudice against certain groups will not be tolerated and will be dealt with severely.
