Does the US government TRY to create paranoid 9/11 conspiracy theorists?

Ok, you all know the deal. 9/11 Conspiracy theorists ask the questions like "Why did building 7 collapse?", "Why did the towers go straight down?", or "Why was there no plane wreckage at the Pentagon?"

Now, indeed, maybe there are simple answers to these questions. However, when the US government refuses to give those simple answers, that is what makes the people believe the theories.

Actually, all of those answers have been given. It is the desire to ignore the truth in favor of wanting to believe in some grand conspiracy that keeps these loons going.

I don't know, but people (including myself) have lingering questions that will never be answered unless the 911 investigation is reopened. I don't believe or blame the government like many foolishly jump ahead to; I'm trying to decipher if it was something other than the official story first, THEN we can talk about who did it. That's where most of the 911 truth seekers go wrong- placing the blame before they can even convince people that there are holes in the official story, and that turns many people off before they even try to make their points.

Even all of the debunking 911 conspiracy theories works still leave questions- the explanations are not good enough and they don't explain everything contradictory to points conspiracy theorists bring up. I just want the investigation to be reopened.

Jesus man. Are you living under a rock? Of course the government was behind 9/11. Who else was it? Arabs who could barely fly Cessnas? Who never even flew the planes they supposedly hijacked and redirected without radar or any training? There is a reason the story makes zero sense. The government does not care about the 9/11 truth because they don't have to. They control the media and as long as the media never mentions it, it won't exist for 90% of the population. It's a testament to how stupid and brainwashed we are. I'll bet you don't even know that all these 'school shootings' are completely staged. Dozens of them. Practically every single one in the past 2 years. Yeah, welcome to reality.

They relied on conspiracy theorists to make it easier to paint anyone who asked questions about 9/11 to look like nutjobs.

They knew the same conspiracy theorists would point out the obvious connections between the PNAC's 'Another Pearl Harbor' that they spelled out the need for something like 9/11 that they could exploit in order to pull off an invasion and occupation of Iraq.

And be ridiculed by everyone who drank the GOP Kool-Aid.

Yes, my fellow American, the simple fact is this, though:
If they have nothing to hide, why don't they release the FULL set of 9/11 Pentagon security camera images?
If they have nothing to hide, why was all the steel from the towers shipped off to be melted down before it could be looked at as what it was: EVIDENCE.
It also makes no sense that the steel beams melted from burning jet fuel(which burns at a maximum of 1088 degrees), because steel doesn't even begin to weaken until 2000 degrees! I know this, I weld and cut steel EVERY DAY.

When one gets answers like"The reason the buildings collapsed was because the jet fuel melted the structural steele."and you realize the steele is made to withstand heat much hotter that jet fuel burns,you start to wonder.
I believe this was a case of underestimating the intelligence of the American people.
They though if we hear stuff in the news and watch it on TV enough,we would be lulled into believing it to be true.
And,that might have worked had not so many innocent people died in the process.

hairy cookie, you are a fool. that is a government run site, i read all their responses on the claims, and they fail to touch on essentially all the facts that are relevant to their case. they dont talk about the alive terrorists, their supposed photographs of the wreckage is no where to be found, they fail to mention that no steel building has EVER collapsed due to fire, i could go on for hours about how many key facts that are way more important than the ones they touched on. you need to turn off cnn, which the government controls, and realize they use the media to make you believe what they show you and they use pawns to make everyone who disagrees with them, look like nuts. so open your eyes to the world around you and realize EVERYTHING IS A LIE, we have been lied to since the inception of our government. research what you think you know a little deeper, o, and next time dont go to government sanctioned sites genius.

Conspiracy theories happen because people *have* to have an explanation as to why something happened, no matter how far-fetched. The problem is this: once someone *believes* a conspiracy theory, it has the force of religious belief and convincing them that what they believe isn't true is extremely difficult.
