Isn't PREJUDICE almost the same as being a RACIST. Do you do thing to Hip Hop Artist like what the KKK did to BLACKS or like what ADOLF HITLER did to the JEWS?

I'm talking about being publicly flogged or hung.

Some people court attention all their lives, yet are given the curtain of anonymity when they fall foul of the law. Although the deterrents of flogging or hanging have been proven not to work on 'normal' people, I think that the public pain and/or death of miscreant celebrities would be an ample warning to other celebrities to behave themselves, and therefore set a better example for the rest of us.

He commuted libby's sentence for lying and perjury, and will pardon him before he leaves office. Will he also pardon Bill Clinton for lying? Or will Bush continue to be a hypocrite and take the law into his own hands?

I was recently told that universal healthcare is a bad idea and that it wont work and that it hasnt worked in other countries that have it. I really know nothing about it aside from the obvious it is funded by the gov. and offers healthcare to all citizens (sounds good to me). But can anyone give some examples of when it hasnt worked or when it has??

Libby lied, got caught, and got convicted. Then he got his sentence commuted, and will be pardoned when Bush leaves office. Clinton lied, got caught, and got impeached. No matter how you look at it, its hypocritical. And the argument that Libby did nothing wrong is BS, we was convicted by 12 honest people, in a trial overseen by a Bush appointed judge. Yet another case of the GOP thinking they are special.

Many seem to have a problem with capitalistic, expensive haircuts. In a capitalistic and free society, people can charge whatever they want for a haircut, and people have the right to pay or go somewhere else. To be against this would have to be some sort of socialized, regulated haircut system. I guess they have this in the military. Or maybe they don't get haircuts. But they seem to complain about hippies a little too much for this to be true.

You say USA is the strongest military nation, okay I'll give you that on paper. But they have never won a modern war on their own. Take a look back at Dec 16,1944... 90,000 Americans surrounded to Germany. USA never fought well, and are overated. They took all the credits of the allies. It is all hype, but no show. What about Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq? And USA never really defeated the enemy in world war one, (they came at the end anyways) and Einstein created the bomb.

President (oops I meant) Senator Obama says it best:
"We have no good options right now in Iraq," said Obama, calling for a phased deployment before the end of next year and a redeployment in Afghanistan where he said al-Qaida is regaining strength.

"We should have been hunting down bin Laden. It's been five years and I don't know why he's still rebuilding al-Qaida," Obama said, arguing that the country needs to rebuild its status in the world by making sure it's cooperating with other countries, by increasing the number of Arab linguists, and investing in homeland security.

"We can fight terrorism as aggressively as necessary and we can do it in a way that fosters global cooperation," said Obama.

I know the Bush administration finds this concept mind-boggling, but do conservative voters comprehend the idea of taking the war to the people actually responsible for 9/11, and that pulling out of Iraq is not equal to surrender?

In my mind, the issue is simple. Who owns the life? We love our freedom and our power of self-determination. Our love of freedom should dictate that an adult of sound mind should be allowed to decide how he should die. When our love of life and love of freedom collide, freedom takes priority.

No law allowing an action requires that action, meaning that no one would be required to commit suicide, assisted or otherwise. Along the same lines, no doctor ever has to perform a surgery to which he or she objects, such as abortion. He or she would likewise not have to assist with a suicide against his or her will.

The Hipocratic Oath is "first, do no harm." The act of extending a life of suffering arguably violates that oath, so assisting suicide can be argued as upholding it.

So, to allow assisted suicide supports freedom of choice, supports the Hipocratic Oath, supports our love of self-determination.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House on Thursday made fun of former President Clinton and his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, for criticizing President Bush's decision to erase the prison sentence of former aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.
"I don't know what Arkansan is for chutzpah, but this is a gigantic case of it," presidential spokesman Tony Snow said.

Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., has scheduled hearings on Bush's commutation of Libby's 2 1/2-year sentence.

"Well, fine, knock himself out," Snow said of Conyers. "I mean, perfectly happy. And while he's at it, why doesn't he look at January 20th, 2001?"
In the closing hours of his presidency, Clinton pardoned 140 people, including fugitive financier Marc Rich.

I'm not saying all righties do this, and yes I'm sure some lefties do this as well... but instead of addressing a political figure for his stand on the issues..they attack them at a personal level. For instance... John Edwards and his hair, Michael Moore and his weight, Al Gore and his son's issues... or even more appaling, Barack Obama and his name. Is the net average age on Y! Answers 11?
