Libby lied, got caught, and got convicted. Then he got his sentence commuted, and will be pardoned when Bush leaves office. Clinton lied, got caught, and got impeached. No matter how you look at it, its hypocritical. And the argument that Libby did nothing wrong is BS, we was convicted by 12 honest people, in a trial overseen by a Bush appointed judge. Yet another case of the GOP thinking they are special.

Look as these dumb morons trying to change the subject. Clintons pardons have nothing to do with anything here. Bush already pardoned 122 criminals so far. So what. Please try and pay attention and stay on topic.

they have been using Clinton in response to Bush for over 6 years. But, but, but Clinton lied under oath..... Yea, he did lie. But for them to say Libby did nothing and Clinton did is a joke. Clinton's lie is actually the one that is much to do about nothing. After a five year witch hunt, they trapped him into a lie about Monica. Can any one of them please tell me what Monica had to do with the Whitewater investigation??? NO they can't because she had nothing to do with it.
I have actually seen people on hear state that this is Bush's first pardon(commute). What a joke . A quick "google" will tell them what you have indicated that he already has over a hundred.
Until they start to get their information from someone other that Rush or FOX , we will apparently have to put up with this b.s.

Oh how little you Bush bashers know about the law and the Constitution.
Impeachment proceedings were started and it was deemed Clinton was not guilty because there were not 60 votes in the Senate to actually impeach him. Now every Democrat including Hillary knew he was lying. why didn't they vote to impeach?
Had he been actually impeached he would have been removed from office and Al Gore would have replaced him.
As a sitting President surely he would have garnered enough more votes to have carried Florida and you wouldn't be complaining about Bush.
If the Democrats didn't think Bill was so fricking special Bush would have never been elected. And I'd probably be griping about what Gore DIDN'T do after 9/11. Instead of pointing out how liberal logic has more holes in it then Swiss Cheese. But then it's my opinion that the term liberal logic is an oxymoron.

No, what is hypocritical is that we have two border agents who were doing their job and getting a 10 and 11 year sentences for protecting us. There is proof that the jury was threated and told that there would be NO hung jury, and the fact that they were both FRAMED by this government because they wanted to make nice with Mexico because of the SPP/NAU. The fact that the drug smuggler wakes is disgusting....the fact that they didn't even give all the facts during the trial is even sicker!
If he is going to pardon Libby, then the LEAST thing he can do is pardon those heroes!

Both got caught perjuring themselves.
Libby was lying to cover up what turned out to be a non-crime. Clinton got caught lying in a civil rights case, the Paula Jones Sexual Harrassment.
So what punishments did they get? Clinton got his law license taken away for several years and a fine.
Libby got 30 months prison time, plus fines and 2 years probation. Doesn't that seem a little stiff for lying about something that wasn't even a crime? Libby would have been lucky to have the same punishment as Clinton.

Get impeached means have a trial. It doesn't mean being found guilty. The people who are being hypocritical about this whole entire thing are the Clintons for complaining that Bush used his power to pardon someone just like the Clintons di

In the end, Libby had to pay $250k and is on probation. Of course, he'll probably get a good job somewhere else in the end. Clinton, on the other hand, got impeached. Big deal. Now he makes $250k per speech. Same garbage. No one is ever wrong. However, the issue in the Libby deal is that the special prosecutor was supposed to find the leak in the Plame case. He did, early (Dick Armitage) but kept probing to try to "get" Dick Cheney or Karl Rove. So, Libby was wrong, but so is Clinton. Same garbage.

Yeah and Clinton can do no wrong. Clinton pardoned hundreds of criminals. where is your outcry for that, wus? Try not to be so partison. In fact some of the people clinton pardoned were convicted drug dealers. Will you post a question about them? Or are you a coward?

Absolutely not. But it isn't okay for Clinton to get away with it just because Dems blocked the impeachment vote and for Libby to be lynched because Dems seemed to have forgotten about Clinton. Tell you what, Clinton gets Impeached (retroactively of course) and we'll give you Libby. Deal?

For any president to issue commutations or pardons is just plain WRONG. It is a total flouting of our system of criminal justice, and every time it's done, it's further proof that the Executive Branch very OBVIOUSLY considers itself to be above the law.
The Constitution should be amended to eliminate the possibility of Presidential commutations and pardons.

So it seems-hypocritical. Apparently there's one law in the land for the GOP and one for everyone else including Dems, Independents and the ' regular ' working people.
