Early on in a visit to the $27 million dollar institute of non-learning, the "Answers in Genesis Creation museum museum", each visitor is given advice on the proper mind frame to have for the visit:

“Don’t think, just listen and believe”. [..] Human Reason is the enemy and God’s Word is the hero. Descartes represents Human Reason, saying “I think, therefore I am”. But God tells us there no need to waste your beautiful mind, for God says “I am that I am”.

So logic, reason and science are Bad; blind faith is Good right?

Is this the conservative mindset?

As you may recall, on Memorial Day, some Liberal protesters were burning the American flag in my town. I walked over toward them and when I got near them, one of these dirtbags, wearing an old Clinton-Gore T-shirt, got too close to me and sorta brushed up against me . So, I reached back and smacked the taste out of his mouth. When the police saw what happened, they rushed over and I told them I feared for my safety.

As you know, the Lib was charged with assaulting me even though I smacked him silly! Haha. Well, the court hearing occurred today. The officer, of course, was there and we had a good conversation. The prosecutor was a cool guy as well. They were being flirtatious.

Well, the Lib tried to plead "not guilty." LOL. He said I used the event as a pretext to whack him and that he had no intention of doing any harm to me. He was found guilty of misdemeanor assault, among other things, fined $300 plus court costs, and sentenced to 40 hours of Community Service!!!

Is it a life at birth? At the second trimester? At viability? At conception? When is abortion justifiable? BEfore implantation? Before viability? Anytime? Or are you against abortion because you believe that all of it is murder?

Murder is a legal term. The average citizen is not qualified to determine whether or not something is "murder."

Since the government has deemed that abortion is not murder, could one of you hysterical pro-lifers who constantly screeches about how it is please provide the legal statute defining abortion as murder?

Not your interpretation - a currently valid legal statute put into place by our government.

1 Tim 6:1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

Those that are saved and yet bondsmen, or slaves and are in servitude, are to serve their earthly masters in dignity to give God and His teachings a good Name among the unbelievers.

1 Tim 6:2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit.

Paul does not preach to "free the slaves" as these bondsmen are in servitude. Most probable to pay off a debt of some kind or another. If they have saved masters they are to serve them even more so, because they are faithful to the Lord and benefit from the bondsman's good service. Whatever job or services we are in we are to serve faithfully and give the boss good benefits from our service.

New testament continues slavery . Any good christians I wonder .

I frequently see questions (and answers) bashing "hippies." But I can't remember them doing anything so terrible. What specifically has a hippie done to you? And don't even start on Charles Manson - he doesn't qualify for this question, because I never considered him a hippie.

I am really confused about what conserv's ideology or concept of the word liberal. 1). In some conserv. circles Bush is a liberal, while religious conserv's. think that he is very conserv. 2). Colin Powell has been considered a liberal in the past for a several reasons 3). and of course conservs. HATE HILLARY, PELOSY, AND ETC.

However, the same conservs have also considered Clinton (whom some call a liberal) to be very conservative and even more so conservative than Bush!!!

The word liberal NOW HAS A VERY BIG CAMP WHICH INCLUDES EVERYONE FROM BUSH, POWELL, & CLINTON, PELOSY!!!!

QUESTION:

1). Why does the word liberal keep evolving?
2). If everyone NOW is liberal who is not FARRRRR-RIGHT conserv. doesn't the word liberal lose relavance???

Are your liberal friends applying much pressure on you for being conservative? Boy have I been getting it. Name calling, trying to make me feel ashamed and what ever else they can think of. They even use anger to get me to comply but it hasn't worked. There is no limits to the evil tactics they will use.... MOST of these people are very sick.
I wonder what is burning them so much about us holding on to our Christian values and not selling out for the victim mentality.

Do you know that they feel that birth control is abortion? And should also be illegal? Do you support Right to life? And my source is the 14 hours of Natural Family Planning classes I have had to take for marriage prep. I read so many talk about 'use birth control' but did you know that birth control is considered abortion by Right to Life?

using *safe* sex is just pre-conception abortion. every time a guy pleasures himself, he kills millions of unborn babies.
oh the horror.
if you are truly pro-life then you should outlaw masturbation, condoms, abstinence, and abortion.
only then can this unholy slaughter of billions, nay, trillions of babies be stopped!

Clinton began his Presidency with the first WTC bombings in '93. He was "commander and chief" during the numerous terrorist acts from Al Qaeda and didn't do much. He watched as Al Qaeda grew from a small organization into an international organization. Can we blame him and his inaction for 9-11?

Do you think our politicians should ratify legislation based on the way things should be or the way things are? Consider the questions with regard to welfare reform, immigration, abortion, education . . . where do you fall on the spectrum. Are you an idealist or a realist? Thank you in advance for any response(s).

OK, as much as I think abortion is sickening, and I cannot believe that a society as advanced as ours allows such a barbaric idea, what do you think about this?

OK, abortion is legal in this country right now. I, along with a vast number of people in this country, want to make it illegal, or at least leave it up to the states. I have heard many REALLY bad arguments for abortion on here, but there is a new argument for abortion:

What if the woman who is pregnant is not fit to be a mother?

So I have a proposed solution. Keep abortion legal, with one rule: Once you get an abortion, you will also be sterilized for life.

It will SEVERELY cut down on the amount of abortions, and a woman who is obviously not fit to become a mother, well, will never become a mother.

And as sick of an idea this is, I find it a little more acceptable than just killing millions of babies. But that's just me. You think this idea is sick, too? Well, let's just MAKE ABORTION ILLEGAL!

Since 2003 the NASDAQ has gone up 1000 and the Dow has gone up over 4000 points in just 4 years. Why are people still saying the economy is terrible when the unemployment rate is lower than the lowest Clinton ever had, not to mention that the average earnings and productivity are up too?

As a republican, I've had great respect for Colin Powell ever since he came to the Joint Chiefs under George H. W. Bush (commonly mis-referred to as Bush Sr). To hear Powell finally say, "This is all crap...it's a failed policy based on flawed intel..." I just don't need anymore. I'm all about finishing this war in one way, shape or form. But listening to Powell talk about the three-legged stool, and how we only have one leg on it, it really made me think.

This is not a republican vs. democrat thing. I'm seriously wondering though, if you're a conservative (as I seem to be labeled by those who like labeling people), how long do you hang on to the ideology before you look at things practically and say, "This $#it's for the birds?"

Your thoughts?

A woman who has been a victim of rape? Or the abortion she would have to end the pregnancy? Just wondering where our priorities lie as a country. Oh, and don;t tell me the statistics of rape in abortion...unless you ALSO state the NUMBER of women, not the percentage...you know, instead of saying 'only 3% of abortions are from rape victims', you instead say ' only this many thousands of abortions are from rape victims'. I am also wondering why, if rape is moe of a concern' don;t we spend as much time voicing outrage at the number of women who are victimized in this country everyday...rather than blaming her for resulting consequnces. Feel free to use the unpaid child support argument as well...
