In order to receive family "assistance" (that they think they are owed) should we not require some EFFORT by these mother's to raise the next generation to have a WORK ETHIC?

I had to have a part-time job at 16 and I worked full-time during the summers. A LOT of the poor kids around HERE hang around at the MALLS all day. Shouldn't they have a job?

Generational welfare Mom's don't do much - except breed to get more money - shouldn't they be held accountable for the education and job training of their CHILDREN?

then travel again West toward Germany or France.

Worst yet it will sneak out of Russia and travel West through Poland and head toward the US or England.

It might even decide to turn South again and hit Italy or Turkey.

Boy, I bet GM or Ford Engineers has something to do with this Iran missile design. If it was a Jap design it would just go straight through Turkey (NATO member) then into Europe.

So far, I like Gates a lot. He seems to be intelligent, patient, hasn't stuck his foot up his mouth yet... mild mannered but serious. Is this guy too classy for this administration? Do you think the neocons will go after this guy if he doesn't play their stupid game?

FULL QUESTION:

With Bush now admitting that the US is "not winning" in Iraq (1) and that Global Warming is due to human involvement (2) wouldn't it have been better if you'd listened to your European intellectual superiors in the first place?

Actually you should have listened to us when you voted for Bush in the first place.

I mean there are others trained to take his place and the same after that who thinks we just need to withdrawl the troops and drop an atomic bomb on them I mean that place has fought with other places forever what makes them think they are going to change now? And since G.B is sitting over there we need to impeach him and everyone for him because this has gone wrong ok I personally think hes just getting revenge on us for what we did to his old man.

QUOTE "Foreign powers are clearly failing in Afghanistan; they neither won hearts and minds nor contributed to the stability and rebuilding of the country in any meaningful way, says Ramzy Baroud."

I know the British troops place huge importence on winning hearts and minds based on 35 years of TRIED AND TESTED experience in Northern Ireland, but, with so many Allies having thier own agendas, could those be sending out mixed messages resulting in the ultimate goal taking longer to achieve?

Seriously, if I see one more reference to Hitler I think I'm gonna puke. NO ONE in the United States is even close to how evil Hitler was and when someone compares Bush or whoever to him, they really show their ignorance.

I understand my taxes will go up, but if I can stop paying the insurance premium won’t I have about the same amount of money in my pocket? What difference does it make if I send the money to Blue Cross or Medicare?

Won’t it be good for business, especially small business? If they don’t have to provide health insurance for their employees (and pay for a chunk of it too) in order to attract good talent won’t they be able to focus on their business?

They say GM has to add $1,500 to the price of every car it builds in the US to cover health care costs of it’s employees. But the cars they build in Canada don’t have that extra overhead.

All the people without insurance and can’t pay use the Emergency room which is the most expensive care there is. That everyone has to pay anyway. If we had universal coverage, they could go to a regular doctor for a fraction of the cost of the ER. Won’t that save everyone money?

United States of America was once a land of hard working people, and the Democratic party was considered its back bone. The Democrats proved numerous times that they could stand strong against the Republicans with democratic leaders that kept our nation united. As this country slowly watches the Democrat party lose its appeal, the US once united has become undivided and dysfunctional. But the Republican party remain untouched untainted, there views their inconstantiecies(bullcrap) never change, which cause the Democrats to become more bitter and resentful and take every opportunity to insult this country and its President. Democrats believe seperating themselves from government the President and his polices make them wholesome again.

WMD's - not there
The people would love us - they are still killing us every day
This action would be quick and easy - we’ve been there forever with no end in sight.
It would help stop terror - more people are joining for terror groups from Iraq now than any other country in the world, this was not so before we got there...

The majority of people haven't been satisfied with the executive branch of the government for a few decades. The leading candidates for 08 don't seem much different.
Maybe we should consider outsourcing the presidency to a private management firm. At least the accountability might improve.
Or perhaps, we should consider sending the job overseas and get it done cheaper.
