Your right and it also diminishes all of the true evil that Hitler was responsible for.

I always wonder if demonizing the opposing party is something new, or there's just more outlets now. With the internet it's pretty easy for the average person to post their feelings. Especially with site such as this. Where as a time as short as ten years ago, there really wasn't. Usually it was a letter to a newspaper or such. So I feel there's more instruments for people to display their view. No matter how outlandish. Comparing Bush to Hitler is pretty foolish, but some people are so frustrated with his presidency that they're over stating.

Now a days it is more like demonizing everyone that does not agree with your own beliefs and agree who should be in power. Life is not too glamerous being a politician, people can make your life a living hell, been there and done that.
Smell the beautiful roses, read some poetry, listen to some music, phone a good friend and visit someone in the hospital.
There is corruption in politics, lots of unhealthy people, greed and lots of it is really about how your present your words that get your through. There is some deep hatred in the life of polictics over issues you are not even aware of? You wonder about certain people's mental state whether they are adequately stable as a human being to hate you for no given reason at all. There is political scandels out there and once I am through with some people they will be behind bars with great honesty. Corruption to me takes a team of people and the people who do right win at the end.
You have to know how to keep your cool and present yourself collectively in the publics eye and learn to be able to diffuse certain difficult people/situations. I took a course on learning how to handle difficult people.
Each party has their own personal agenda on how to attract voters and all parties tend to attack each other's views to try and gain support and make the opposing party to lose their support.

People have become so polarized because a lot of the issues are black and white as to your stance on them. Not racially, but for instance how people feel about Iraq. The people who wants US to bring the troops home now can"t understand how the other side can be so dumb and the people who want to stay and finish the job can"t underdstand how the other side can"t see the consequences of cutting and running. I think the issues are polarizing and thus, peoples opinions get polarized. Then the ones who have no real arguement of information start the name calling.

Ignorance leads to name calling. If you do not understand someone or something, it is much easier to call them names or just say it is stupid.
When you do that you no longer are personally responsible for educating yourself.
Call Bush Hitler
Call a black man a N********
Call an Italian a wop
Call a Mexican a *******

I think the American people need to understand that it is not just Bush but the Republican party as a whole that gave us these insane economic policies and a foreign that it is every man for himself instead of all of us in this together.

I don't disagree with some of the conservative political views, but I still must consider the fact that George W. Bush is one of the top five international terrorists of the past 75 years:
Joseph Stalin was the leader of the U.S.S.R. and we accuse him of slaughtering 10 million of his own countrymen. He died peacefully in his sleep;
Adolph Hitler was the leader of the Nazi party and we accuse him of gassing 6 million Jews. He took the coward's way out and committed suicide instead of facing justice in an international court;
Idi Amin was the leader of Uganda and we accuse him of killing 2 million people before he retired in luxurious 'exile' with all of his country's money;
Saddam Hussein was the leader of a sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States, and we accuse him of the massacre of more than a million Iraqis;
So WHY are we so reluctant to accuse George W. Bush, the Commander-In-Chief of the United States armed forces, of killing more than 675,000 Iraqi citizens and 3,500 U.S. soldiers? Yet he assumes no responsibility for such vile, murderous actions. -RKO- 06/10/07

Bingo!
Why? Because it's WAY easier than thinking, way easier than formulating a logical argument and rebuttal. Why think when you can just regurgitate the inane pablum of the disingenuous talking heads?

It has been popular for years in the republican party. They are the ones who invented the negative campaign ad.

It is based on rhetoric and thus backlash to that comes from our current administration and the politicizing of 24 hour news channel.
