I mean there are others trained to take his place and the same after that who thinks we just need to withdrawl the troops and drop an atomic bomb on them I mean that place has fought with other places forever what makes them think they are going to change now? And since G.B is sitting over there we need to impeach him and everyone for him because this has gone wrong ok I personally think hes just getting revenge on us for what we did to his old man.

You're right...we should just let them all be. That way, they will eventually begin to live peaceful lives and give up on that reestablishment of the caliphate thing.

No, bin Laden would actually be put on trial at the UN for his crimes. It would be a big deal, kind of like Nurenburg, where bin Laden would probably find his way into a prison rather than making a martyr out of him.

A bin Laden trial would bolster support for the War on Terror. Killing him outright wouldn't give people the opportunity to see him stand in shackles, which would serve as a greater propaganda tool rather than seeing a still picture of bin Laden with a hole in his head.

Remember how happy everyone was when Saddam was captured?

Bin Laden, captured and alive to be paraded around is worth more than him dead.

Bin Laden's assassination would most probably drive his followers into a frenzy resulting in more terrorist related deaths and damage. Even if he were to be captured tried and executed he would most likely become a martyr that would inspire more terrorist activity.
The majority of voters gave the president a second term and like it or not he's going to finish his term. I think any attempt to impeach the president would be an error on the part of the US. and since th US has forbidden political assassinations I'm afraid that the best thing for the US is to finish what has been started. The immediate withdrawal of troops would probably be seen as weakness on our part and make us appear badly to our allies as well as our enemies. The expression, "Don't change horses in the middle of the stream" comes to mind.
comes to mind.

Nothing. Bin Laden is a pimple on a gnats arsh. He was never the planner but only the source of funding for 9/11. I promise you the flow of money from this creep has greatly slowed since that fateful September day in 2001.

Kill him, sure, but don't look for that to slow the aggression of the maniacs.

Now, a hydrogen bomb in Tehran is a different matter. Next question? "Who's next?" There will be no takers.

I believe getting Bin Laden is now purely smbolic. It is not a Republican nor a Democratic issue. Yes others will take his place. I agree with that part of your statement. If we drop a bomb are we not accountable for innocent lives? Do we have the right to annihilate a country???

There are thousands of people like Bin Laden. GWB policies are creating Americas' enemies by the millions.
Afghanistan will do to America what they did to the Russians.
In the mean time we are spending there, billions of taxpayers money.

I believe it could have one of two consequences.

It could make a martyr out of him and he could become used as a propaganda piece to recruit even more terrorists.

Or, It would show the terrorists the might of the US and that no one can hide from us forever and create less terrorists.

I am not sure what will happen really but I do think we need to get him to serve Justice to the victims of his terror network.

Let's not kill murderers as there will just be new ones, right?
Let's impeach someone who actually, for the first time in the history of dealing with terrorism, tried to do something about it?

Silly. Islam wants to dominate the world. My family escaped Islam in the 1950s. We've been expecting this war for decades. We've been stunned at the combination of spineless appeasement and utter ignorance about Islam and it's bloody history up to the present.

This is Islam's last chance. If they can silence us, stop us, they think they'll win. It's already too late. Their people all know what freedom is, and the seed is planted. The revolution has already begun.

Al Queda will probably go on, though it is an open question as to how effective it will remain without Bin Laden's vast wealth at its disposal.

Nothing, now that there are over 1,000 times as many terrorist as there was 6 years ago. Since Bush gave up on the "war on terrorism" for a "war profiteering" venture in Iraq, the terrorist have grown too large to make much of any impact by capturing OBL.
