Being a moderate you can take the good from each political spectrum and leave the bad. Party lines mean a little less and the good of the country becomes the focus. Many have said I don't have any view because I'm a moderate, but I disagree. My views do not need to be hindered by party affiliation. So I will spell out my "views" on major issues.

War On terror- I do believe that we need to stay on the offensive, but I don't like the war in Iraq. Iraq has become a beacon for terrorist. I think we need to clean it up now, but we were wrong to go in the first place and I do feel we were misled. I think in the future, we need to treat terrorist like a cancer. We don't need to invade most of these countries. Use intelligence and Special Forces to fight this threat.

Abortion - I am pro-choice for the country and pro-life for my personal belief. I don't think my view should be forced on the entire country.

I believe in smaller government and welfare reform.

Do you think the democrats are taking advantage of the minorities? Blacks and hispanics are always voting predominantly democrat, sometimes only because they're minorities. With that being said, do you think the republicans are taking advantage of the christian fundamentalists to gain votes? Persuading them that they are religious and tricking them into voting republican. Are both parties taking advantage of their loyal bases?

Most people I meet are anti american and anti bush..but most of them are simpletons jumping on the trendiest bandwagon in town.
Before the invasion of iraq most of these people couldnt point to the middle east on a map.So the hunt for wmd was a little white lie that helped to grease the wheels for public support.so what.If bush was to tell you that your fat greedy arsed way of life was threatened by dwindling oil stocks or chinese influence in the middle east..your so distant from hardship at the moment that you wouldnt believe the threat and would have opposed something ultimately for your benefit.the truth is YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH.Learn from your history, how neville chamberlain and his government ignored the warnings of churchill.Where early intervention could have saved millions of lives. Its so easy to take the moral highground sitting in ivory towers, why wait until the muslims or chinese have the whiphand , by then it will be too late!

If this source is the misinterpretation of the Koran, then why don't the vast majority of Muslims, who are supposedly moderate, choose a Muslim leader in America to challenge the beliefs/interpretation of those shieks (or whatever they're called) of the Middle East, specifically Iran and neighboring countries? Middle East Muslim leaders obviously need major opposition within the Muslim system that moderate Muslims can rally behind. This will hopefully ostracize the radicals (potential murderers). I don't hear a loud enough voice coming from American Muslim Leadership condemning Muslim leaders in the Middle East. Are these supposed good-intentioned leaders looking out for the best of just Muslims or the world as a whole? A piece of the pie of the whole pie? Look at things objectively and tell me why its so hard to implement common sense in a situation thats needlessly dumbing down the world. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Its more than obvious that Republicans are followers, we’ve followed President Bush and as loyal as the republican party is, it seems that was their downfall this time around. We must not be strict followers, I am a republican but even I know that Donald Rumsfeld was full of it most of the time! He danced around questions more than Bill Clinton did around the definition of sex. I have a lot of respect for Bill though, I would trust that man over anyone in the George Bush white house. And I am a Republican! I just hope we can get our act together in two years, I don’t know about you but I wonder where have all the Good Republicans gone, the ones who listen to the people and not just the President? The ones who use bipartisanship, and not their own judgement? Democrats cant do it alone that much is certain, we have to work together.

Conservatives:

Many see what we're doing in the Iraq and don't care about the lives being lost on both sides. Most of these people are struggling to exist and they are caught in between crazy Islamic radicals and the US. It's costing our country in lives and money, but they will blindly follow their leader until the end. Anyone that doesn’t agree with them will be called unpatriotic. Most will emotionally oppose abortion, but shrug if they see a 5 year olds dead body in the streets of Iraq.

Liberals:

Everyone deserves a free ride, if someone doesn’t want to work let’s provide for them. Illegal immigrants are great, in fact let’s change our country to accommodate them. War is never necessary. Let the world walk all over the US. Let’s tax business until it can’t take it and it leaves to save money in foreign countries.
