It irks me to say this but Bush was right. He was also right to immediately realize he now had to work in a bipartisan manner, and he was right to welcome the Democratic party. It's sort of amusing (and surprising) to me that he took the high road. It's not surprising to me that his most rabid followers can't find that road.

IMO its a repeat of the Dem tactic of flooding this site with the same type of "questions" - eg about Iraq- just before the election. Personally (I'm not USian) I think the Dems will lose both Iraq and Afghanistan, most likely also Yemen, Libya, and if they get another brainless Carter type into presidency they will even lose Egypt, Algeria and Morocco. Oh sure, they will make loud noises, speeches about morality, sobby rallies about hunger in Africa. But otherwise do absolutely nothing to help anyone anywhere.
Unless of course it's another war started just to distract from another Whitewater or Lewinsky affair.
Sorry if I sound cynical. IMO actions (and Kennedy, Kerry, Pelosi) speak for themselves

well, the poor things have had their already limited minds propagandized into a state of constant trembling fear so fear is all they now know how to express. "be afraid. be very afraid" has been the neoCON mantra for 6 years so it'll take awhile for that conditioning to fade.
PS. it was the Democratic leadership that won the day during WW1, WW2 and Korea so all the bullfeces about Dems being soft on defense is simply that. BULLFECES.

Why does one have to be a 'right-winger' to acknowledge the OVERWHELMING THREAT ?
If it is. . ..then it is. ...
I would hope that every INTELLIGENT person recognizes the REAL THREAT.
