Do you think the democrats are taking advantage of the minorities? Blacks and hispanics are always voting predominantly democrat, sometimes only because they're minorities. With that being said, do you think the republicans are taking advantage of the christian fundamentalists to gain votes? Persuading them that they are religious and tricking them into voting republican. Are both parties taking advantage of their loyal bases?

I noticed many blacks don't even know the issues dems stand on. They just vote democratic "because they're black". That seems to me not a good issue to vote on. Also, it's the same with evangelicals. I know that not all hispanics vote dem.

Good answer everybody. I think that dems and reps don't give a crap about their constituents. But then again I'm cynical.

The Republicans run adds against a black candidate in which a blond female asks him to "call her". What issue, exactly, are the Republicans running on there? Oh, right. Racism. African-Americans remember Bush's response to Katrina. There is a reason they don't vote for Republicans. Democrats sincerely want to help the African-American community. Whether they are successful or not is certainly open for debate and examination, but the intent is at least honest.

The same can't be said for the GOP with regards to evangelicals. In 2004 they promised and promised and promised to try and ban gay marriage. After the election, Bush didn't waste a single second trying to honor his pledge. And then an evangelical within the administration revealed how Bush & Co. mocked the evangelical leadership behind closed doors. Oops.

Both parties are sucking up to people. The Democrats are abusing minorities by making them think that they actually care about the underpriveleged, when the Democrats have more rich people than the Republicans.

The Republicans want those evangelicals because who else are the evangelicals going to vote for? Definitely not the Democrats. These are just free votes for somebody.

Both parties screw their bases in order to get elected and then screw the country over with their greed.

I'm not a hatemonger, just a thinker.

Your view of politics is a lot to simplistic. whether the Democrats and Republicans have been replaced who could replace them? it could be a similar 2 events with distinctive names because of the fact conservatives will nonetheless vote for the conservative occasion and liberals will nonetheless vote for the liberal occasion. only because of the fact the Democrats be replaced with the Liberal occasion and the Republicans get replaces with the Conservative occasion won't exchange a situation. the only way we are able to verify instantaneous consequences is that if our democratic government is replaced by ability of a dictatorship. Our government demands bargaining and negotiations for the reason that's what a democracy does. besides we've a majoritarian or 2 occasion equipment, which makes the government somewhat basic and retains negotiations to a minimum truthfully. changing the equipment with a say Swiss or consensus equipment would reason our congress to have 5 distinctive events and make negotiations much greater bulky and make the equipment even slower. as an occasion, Belgium has approximately 8 achievable political events and it could soak as much as a 300 and sixty 5 days just to form a central authority there. and don't think of that a third occasion may even exist in the U. S., based on the 1st previous the pollsystem the U. S. has, a third occasion could decide to income significant help, over a million/3 of the inhabitants previously it could additionally be seen achievable. there is not any rapid fix to the equipment. What you notice as government state of being inactive and not representing the people is negotiations and compromises. that's precisely how the founding fathers designed the political equipment and we see it at artwork on the instant. besides, the financial equipment is a lot greater complicated than we expect of, there is so basic, rapid fix.

I think you are on the right track. I hate that reps always use the "pro-life" tactic because it alienates just about every woman who might want to vote rep except pro-choice is the thing that hits home the most for women of child bearing age.
On the same track, dems use social services as a rallying cry so more minorities identify with this while those who don't are concerned about paying for the services in the form of higher taxes.
It seems no one is moderate or immune to special interests.

Dems do tend to favor minorities more than Reps do. So, there is a reason why minorities usually vote for Dems. However, (this is just me) Reps don't really seem to benefit fundamental Christians in any way. But, yet fundamental Christians vote for the Reps. I'm a Christian, but I just don't see any reason why Christians would vote Rep. most of the time.

there is nothing wrong with that. They are taking advantage of them, but not in a bad way though. Many christians do not vote GOP, and many blacks & hispanics vote GOP, i believe the parties have each and every right to a loyalty base.

Yes. The issue is also clouded by the fact that Democrats support the working class and Republicans support the wealthy. Republicans support the corporation over working class people and the Democrats support the unions.

Of course they are. The libs want the U.S to remain a welfare state, they want the poor of every race, to believe that without the government, you can't take care of yourself. That's why they love play with taxes and the min. wage. I don't even know of an employer around where I live that does not pay more already.
If they tax the big folks , who pay the little folks, there will be layoffs and a need to keep them in power. We need then welfare checks. If you want a raise, have another kid.

People are so gullible, they buy all their crap.

Libs are crazy like a fox, all about job security ( for themselves)

Well, yeah pretty much. There are greedy immoral people on both sides so it probably happens. Thing is, neither party can do too many things to piss off their respective bases, so both groups also benefit because the lawmakers have to give them what they want.

Yes to both. Remember their first and main priority is to get relected and stay in power. Their second priority is to their party and finally if possible they will take care of their constituents back home.
