This past Tuesday, President Bush signed into law the "Military Commissions Act". This allows Bush to arbitrailly declare ANYONE, including U.S. citizens an unlawful enemy combatant, without charge or trial for the duration of the "War on Terror". He can subject captives to strenuous interrogation(torture?) The Act also provides amnesty for U.S. officals , including Bush and others who may have authorized torture, murder or other human rights violations. Whatever happened to the U.S. Constitution? Corruption, war, lies and indifference to human misery are the hallmarks of this administration. Land of the free? Only if it is okay with Bush. And now we find out Bush was authorizing illegal wiretaps before 9-11. And all this in the greatest democracy the world has ever seen. How can you let this happen?

The Hungarian prime minister, Ferenc Gyurcsány has tell it: "We told lies for years". Now there are thousands of people demonstrating outside the Parliament and the opposition say they have never lied, but very much people know, they have lied very much. For example, they told: if we win the elections, we won't join hands with József Torgyán but after 4 months the elections, they joined hands with Torgyán. (They won the elections.) The people outside the Parliament wanna Orbán become prime minister and they want to Gyurcsány abdicate.

A lot of Iraqi's think that the continued presence of US troops is encouraging the violence. That would be an argument for pulling out. An argument for staying would be that leaving would make the US seem weak and unreliable. Is the moral thing to do to put Iraq's interests ahead of our own?
I'm interested in all opinions.

I believe that the amount we are spending on Iraq would never be repayed by any amount of oil return. I here a lot of people are dying because Bush wants oil. What will he do with this oil? Have you heard of "Oil for Food"?

Maybe it was about oil because Sadaam Hussein was using it to bribe Russia, France, China, etc... in the worst scandal of all time. This is why they won't help and didn't enforce resolutions which left only the US to act.

To date, we've arrested or otherwise dealt with many key commanders of al Qaeda.... All told, more than 3,000 suspected terrorists have been arrested in many countries. Many others have met a different fate. Let's put it this way -- they are no longer a problem to the United States and our friends and allies. [Applause.]
-- George W Bush in his State of the Union Address (February 4, 2003)

So if this is true why are we still in Iraq?
