Democrats: Do you think the Democrat party is still liberal or is it in the middle of the political spectrum?

I have to say on some topics it's beginning to sway to the middle of the political specturm. Especially after many political decisions that have not panned out or we've learned our lessons from movements gone a rye .. what ever the reason might be I have noticed a slight trend toward middle of the road... a little less liberal is not a such a bad thing.

I think there are liberal and middle of the road and even conservative Democrats. I fall into the middle category. I think we are seeing a shift; many Republicans are coming over to the Democrat side after the Bush reign. Therefore, we may see more 'conservative' new Democrats. I am as far to the left as people come. I think that sadly the democratic party is farther to the right than most republicans. Many famous democrats and pro-war which usually means they are right wing.
