Defend America's borders..(Except we don't really do anything about the hundreds and hundreds of illegals riding around in mini vans and at the coin-op laundry)
Defend rights and liberties (except gays, because we don't like them...or anyone that wants an abortion...or doesn't believe like we do)
Slowly take away therights of people under the guise of the greater good. See, we trick people into thinking we are 'the peoples champions' by crying about things like the right to bear arms, and prayer in schools. What we are really doing is slowly systematically taking away all free rights. We want to force everyone to say OUR prayer, and OUR pledge with things like "Under God", we want everyones money to say things like "In God we trust" even thought the constitution calls for no state endorsed religions.
Yeah, being a republican is pretty cool....
