The U.S. Doesn't know what they are doing in Iraq even from the beggining. But the Big Business does because that is who we are fighting for. They are call special inerest groups and that is just another name for the Mafia. the politucal bosses bend their knees to them. If any of you have ever watched the old movies of Al Capone (etc.) then you would know how this country is being run. Just ask D. Cheney and his secret oil meetings. all of the people put in office have ties with the big money makers of America. They look at Iraq and other 3rd world countries as a money symble. They say the same thing as the IRS says "We are losing money". They look at those countries and say the same thing and devise a way to invade them so that American products can be in their homes at the price of our American youth. It is now giving in to the fact that the U.S. Cannot control the Iraqi's. (now you know why Saddam had to use a heavy hand)Pay attention to the news when they call our allies as "Partners". Those of you who watch the news for 20 minutes and once a month cannot give a balanced honest answer because they know nothing but bits and peices. And if you have never been in the military then you know nothing of war and tactics. But those of us who have been in service (and most of my family has and just recently my son came back from serving 2 tours there).
Then you will know a little more than the average joe to make an honest criticism about how the war is being conducted.
A lot of people tell me to leave this country for my say but I and my family have more that earned the right to express my assessments and live in the U.S. than the mouths that talk without knowing what they are saying and never serving a day and would not send their sons to defend their beleifs. All in all the fatal mistakes were made by the corporations by sucking all of our tax dollars out of the pockets of the people and the military and no one has the guts to do anything about that, just ask Haliburton and Blackwater have they been prosecuted for looting? When politics (special interest) are in force during a war you can be sure more Americans will die by not allowing our military to do their work rather than to let some outsider (called the "Decider") to make military decisions and later not own up to it. There is more I have to say but I would have to write a book for you to finally understand the mistakes made. I am now asking that if you are a person with brain lock that cannot see further than your own arrogance due to corporate brainwash without knowledge of what is really going on that you please not write back unless you have a valid question or an inelligent answer.

Yes and no.

One of the troubles with the US, is also one of the things that make us awesome. We are made up of different peoples and different cultures. Yet, we are a family. As such, we always try to help our extended family. Those in other countries. It is what makes us who we are. Although, it sometimes turns out to be a not so good thing. American citizens of Iraqi decent, would have wanted us to intervene. While Americans of say, Austrian decent might of said, "Leave them to their own." I think we did the right thing but maybe for the wrong reasons. I also do not think that we can help there until the people there change their way of thinking. And, I don't see that happening in the near future.
But if we leave now, tens of thousands will die in a manner of days. I think that this place should be divided up into three separate areas. Each to govern itself. But to do this, there would have to be disarmament. The problem is, that then a non-interested army would have sit between them to keep the peace.
There is no simple answer is there? Hundreds of thousands of people died under Saddam. Most of it has stopped because of the US.

Not even close ! It's all about money and power. "We" attacked and over-threw the government of a country that was never a danger to us. Sure, Saddam was a bad guy, but there's ALOT of bad guys out there ! And Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9 / 11. Nor did they have WMD's. 15 of 19 of the 9 / 11 hijackers were Saudis. Did we attack them ? Nope !

What were the objectives of Bush to attack Iraq ?

Whether they are fulfilled ?

Did Bush know that there were no weapons of mass destruction ?

Was he misinformed by his agencies or did he overlook the reality about WMDs ?

If he knew that there were no WMDs then why did he attack Iraq ?

If he knew about Saddam making WMDs, then why he couldnt find them yet ?

Still feel US is doing right thing in Iraq ???

I think that the US should help out its own country before going half way around the world to help out another country. If you look at our country, its not in the best shape either. We have people living on the streets with no place to sleep at night or even somewhere to get their next meal. Some people dont even know when their next meal is going to be. Just about every time I go to the store I see a homeless family holding signs on the side of the street begging for money or food. My opinion is that we should get those people off the street and clean up America before we go and help other countries.

I wasn't so sure until I started speaking to some people in Iraq on Skype. Now I think so. The Iraqis I have spoken to are all happy the Americans are there. But war is never right in and of itself. As humans we will always struggle with the justification for war.
