Flip flopping is what they do. it would be unnatural for them not to. If you have any doubt, recall back when they conspired to impeach Clinton. they all said "the rule of law is paramount and the President is not above the law." But now, when the President violates the law and the constitution regarding illegal surveillance, imprisonment without legal representation, torture, and of course outing a clandestine intelligence operative for political purposes, thus aiding and abetting the enemy in a time of war...why, the Republicans are silent, expect to criticise the "patriotism" of anyone who challenges Bush on his violations of law...

Usually it's not flip-flopping, usually it's just makin' up absurd excuses that don't make sense to anyone, and all parties know it's an absurd excuse, but the morons are still in office. Why?
It's because they've gotten such a stronghold on affairs and people are pointing fingers left and right and nobody in their right mind would put themself at that much risk. Secondly, most people don't want the basic precepts as dictated by the Constitution to be devoid, and thus nobody wants to allow the administration to be held accountable for anything because in the eyes of a lot of people, no administration is far worse than one that is detrimental to the country.

Why do you feel the right to label people any way you want. I have been a card carrying Libertarian for years now. I support certain republican fundamentals such as personal responsibility and a smaller federal government (ideals the GOP abandoned years ago)...but these ideals are the BASIS of the Libertarian platform.
End result is those who are ignorant of the Libertarian platform find it easier to pass labels than to learn their platform and are too fast to judge all who disagree with them.
Should Jesus judge you as you judge others? Perhapse you should ask for his forgiveness.

This is not a question, but a political rant from an extremist. It is such a bad question that it does not warrant serious consideration. Its only goal is to stir up Americans so that they will focus on labels and not issues. Divide and concur has been a battle cry for centuries by those that wish to destroy countries. Don’t let any extremist left or right get away with this.

Hey stupid! neocon means new conservative. Most Republicans are life long Conservatives. Neocons are just barely conservative not far right. You prove that most in your party are incapable of thinking. The dumbest in our society are democrats wanting to be taken care of because they cannot care for themselves.

Assuming your premise is true that neocons are trying to act like Libertarians, my guess is that it's probably because we have all the smart chicks.
