They are doing more damage than good. You must be working for the Independents since they don't have a prayer, or you can't even vote. With Arab names you should be investigated by home land security, and I see nothing Christain about the behavior either.

Actually before Bush anti-Americanism was confined to the hard left and militant Islamists.

For example, even in supposedly American hating France the approval rating for the US was approx 70% in 1999, now its 30%.
(This pattern is repeated in most of the rest of the world).

A number of polls in the UK have shown that 80-90% want to break the alliance with the US (eg http://uk.news.yahoo.com/17082006/344/britons-want-terror-policy-change.html)

Under current law, FISA allows warrants to be issued almost immediately and even allows a tap to be put in place without a warrant as long as evidence is shown to the court within 72 hours after that doing so had probable cause. FISA allows any and all kinds of wiretapping, but provides oversight from a 3rd party to ensure that such powers are not abused and are used properly.

Current law allows spying on suspected terrorists (domestic and foreign) and there's no "delay" - so for those of you who support the new "warrantless" program, what are your reasons?

As far as I can tell, the only difference is that the president and NSA are now able to conduct any operation without having to explain why to "anyone" ever. Isn't this dangerous carte blanche power to give to a single section of our government?

Most logical and convincing point gets the points. Thank you!

is this wising up from "real life" experience. I think so. I believe there is no better education then real world experience. So it may be "cool" to support illegal aliens becuase thats what everybody else is doing (Columbia University) but when you have to live in a society that they have a negative impact on...you will see the real picture. Ironically college libs..that claim to be progressive and idealistic are just going with the herd...the same herd that told them to smoke pot., drink beer..and get laid...lol..college was such a joke

Its about time Woodward makes up for fawning over the Bush admin in his last 2 books. So far the Republicans have not been able to refute his statements. Especially interesting is the proof that Rice lied about meeting with the CIA before 9/11.

this communist state have tortured over 40000 people.[Documented by the United Nations] Experts say that over 10 thousand have died during torture. Their organs then sold for use in transplants, This is a Country that we in England are trading with more and more. Surely there must come a time where morality overcomes profit, but then again money rules the mind when it comes to the West. Evidence is forthcoming that followers of Falon Gong [a practice of "slow moving meditative exercises"] are being imprisoned, tortured, and murdered for their organs. There are over 100,000000 practioners in China, and all of them are now at risk. I think it is about time severe pressure was put on China to improve their human rights record.
