Is it possible?

So far I have two attempts.

1. They can't reproduce. Hmmm, hard to see where morality comes into it on that, sorry.

2. Its personally disgusting. I could say that about people with blue eyes. How can anyone find blue-eyed people attractive? They should be locked up!

Thanks jon jon!

3. Slippery slope argument is a classic example of the logical fallacy of the same name.

4. the Traditional Marriage argument is actually a religious one, disguised in secular terms.

5. the "sets a bad example to the kids" argument only works if you already assume homosexuality is wrong. Circular reasoning is invalid!

6. Its against Nature. I think you are assuming it never happens in nature, but it does. Also, some humans naturally seem to be homosexuals, so I fail to see the point of the "its against nature argument".

On a side note, you could claim altruism is agianst nature too. Should we stop doing that?

7. Society has deemed it immoral by majority. Firstly, I don't think that is factually correct, but even if it were, its no justification. At one point in time, the majority of Amerians thought slavery was moral. You'll need a better argument than that.

Here we go.

You'll get the "slippery slope" argument - we let the gays marry and next thing you know, everybody's going to be marrying their german shepards. I'm sure we're all concerned about this.

You'll get the "it makes a mockery of traditional marriage" argument. Don't ask me how that works. Somehow what other people do with their private lives defiles what these "defenders of marriage" have done with their private lives. Sounds more like they just can't keep their noses out of other people's business.

You'll get the "it sends the wrong message to the kids" argument. Never mind that it's pretty clear to everybody capable of thinking at all that gay people are gay from birth. How many prominent Republican "christian conservative" hypocrites who like to rant about the "gay agenda" have gay relatives themselves? Cheney, Gingrich, Keyes, Rove, the list goes on and on.

Then, as we've seen here, you'll get the "It makes me puke" argument from a lot of juvenile-minded losers who are probably gay themselves. You should've also specified that the argument be RATIONAL. If we start outlawing every form of consensual sexual activity that somebody else finds objectionable, none of us will be able to have anything to do with each other - believe that. Who really gives a damn what you think is "gross." Not your business! And please note that I said "consensual." That rules out rape, pedophilia, and all the other truly immoral (because intrusive on somebody else's human rights) perversions that you freaks like to try to identify with homosexuality.

Incidentally, the guy who says that morality can't exist without "religion" is merely demonstrating for all of us the superficiality and fragility of his own moral concepts. I'm sorry that you can't conceive of anybody having principles without referring all his actions to some imaginary, blown-up Freudian father-figure wagging his finger at every imagined transgression, but some of us actually have a conscience. You justify your irrational hatred by citing scripture; we argue from the inherent justice and soundness of our own precepts.

the answer is no. if you come from a secular, humanist argument then there is no such thing as a universal moral. do what ever you like. everything becomes a preference.

the reason religious folks believe homosexuality is immoral, is because a set of universal standards were given by a moral, law-giver.

no moral, law-giver, then no morals.

i'm not sure it's much of a challenge. if there is no god, or moral, law-giver than we can't judge anything right or wrong.

to turn the question around: without using a religious argument, tell me why you think anything is moral, or immoral?

The laws of the state that a person resides in decides what in immoral.

No person is tried in any Court in the USA by the BIBLE!

They are tried by the Laws enacted by Government by and for the people (People are the governement).

Leg-Jud-Exe 3 branches and all three established by mankind.

Tell it to the JUDGE who is elected or appointed.

God is not in the Courthouse.

You got no case but morals are determine by MAN.

Sorry bud, homsexuality is immoral. It is violates most normal social behavior and nature. Just beacuse it's hip or cool does not make it moral. Having a sexual fetish make you no more special than people who like engage in S&M, Beastilty, Scat, Pedo or any other odd fetish. Gays, just have a better PR firm.

Homosexuality is biological.
A biological issue is not a moral issue.

End of argument

I always thought being gay would be a pain in the @ss.

The smell and image of poop on my member isn't very appealing either.

Society has deemed it immoral by majority.

I don't know about everybody else, but I am in the military and its highly disturbing to me to have other guys stareing at me when I have to use a "community" head or a "community" shower. I don't like it.
