The disintegration of the Soviet Union and the collapse of communism was initiated by a classical proletarian action, the shipyard strike in Gdansk, which brought about capitalism FROM communism. How can Marxist theorists explain this?

I see Muslims tortured every where: in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and in many other countries, and yet western people are calling Muslims and Arabs terrorists. They (western) even study forged Quran translations, and take verses from it to support their views.

I really do not understand how can Muslims and Arabs be terrorists if their land is occupied. Is the terrorist the Occupier or the Occupied?!!!

Need your help to figure this out.

Thanx in advance

The UK is paying at least 2 billion pounds per month ($4b) for Iraq, Afganistan, Balkans. How can they justify this and never make it public knowledge. What cuts are paying for this, NHS and public services?

When I was at school (about 10 years ago) the history curriculum focused primarily on WW1 and 2. I learnt virtually nothing about the colonial powers (Britain and others) and the bit of good and lot of bad that they did for countries around the world. I would argue that whilst WW1 and 2 were terrible and we shouldn't forget the dead who had to fight, it is much more relevant to talk about colonialism as it has far more impact on the world today - immigration, poverty, trade. I can't believe kids are not taught about this and suspect that we learn about the wars because we 'won' them whereas now the 'great' British Emprire is something of an embarassment.

Michael Moore also claimed to stand up for freedom of speach. I still remember Michael Moore telling a reporter after an awards show that the conservatives heckling him for his liberal bull should not be allowed to be heard. Now Barbara the Nose screams for a spectator to "shut the %$#@ up" at a public concert held on public land,Why? Because she was doing political skits that were unintelligent and boring instead of singing. My question is this. Do Liberals only like the idea of freedom of speach as long as it always agrees with their ideas?

Political advertizing that is aimed at bashing their opponents and not telling what they plan to do? Why don't they be honest and say "we are not quite as bad as they are so vote for us!"
