Do you think theese fanatics will be defeated someday? We are fighting cancer are we not? Where does your hope lie ?How long before they are defeated and what should average people do?

What is ur definition of fanatic Muslims?
If you mean those who:
1. Worship one single God called Allah.
2. Tell women to wear veils so that no one will stare at their bodies, and hurt them either by verbally or physically.
3. Have sexual relations with their wives only and do not go astray with other women.
4. Believe in Mose, Noha, John, Christ, Abraham, and all the prophets and messengers of Allah and respect them all. And believe that Mohamed is the last prophet sent by Allah with Islam.
5. Do not fight unless they are fought and pushed away from their own homes and countries.
6. Believe in Hell Fire and Paradise, and are not afraid of death.
7. Prevent gay, and bisexual marriages

And many other good things indeed. How can you face a religion that has not been changed for more than 1427 years, and has one billion followers, almost all of them are not afraid of death.

Who can any one face people who wish to die as martyrs, and have had their God support from the start?

No, because as long as there are religious fanatics of any kind there will always be others to fight against them, the only way any sort of religious fanaticism can be defeated is by wiping out the religion altogether and although I think this is the best way for the world this will never happen as there are too many religious nutters around including most of the leaders of the so called Democratic countries.

Fanatics are doing more harm to muslims than anyone else. I think eventually muslims will want to live as citizens of the world and wil eventually reject the rabid hatred of Israel and the West which motivates extremists. I also think Islamic women wil evenyually have a feminist revolution, this already begginning in countries like Malaysia. It also would help if countries like Saudi Arabia became more democratic.

Well if we didn't have so many fighting us along with the terrorists maybe we would get the job done sooner. No time in history have we fought a more ruthless foe with so many "politically correct" panty waste cry babbies whining about everything our military does. What should the average people do? How do you defeat fanaticism? It's a way of thinking is it not? You can kill a lot of fanatics if you like and I suppose we will but you can't defeat a way of thinking. Even if it is a terrible, stupid, evil way to think. I hope in time those people are educated, enlightened, and unoppressed enough to learn a different manner of thinking. I really feel that they will wither out eventually as they see that their tactics don't get them what they want. Eventually someone attached to them will see that diplomacy is the only way to get nearer what they want. However, if its world domination they want, theyre out of luck, too many other countries are wanting the same thing. stalemate. the game of chess will continue until the world doesnt tolerate dissent any longer.
