It means American Civil Liberties Union, but sadly it works quite to the opposite of its name. Say you want to be a christian at work and school. Well, the ACLU thinks that because you are a christian you are violating others civil rights. The ACLU is an organization that believes you must sacrifice the liberties of the majority for everyone else.
They also believe terrorist should have rights, and Illegal aliens have the right to cross our borders freely.

Its funny how many times the ACLU stands up for the protection of Christian and Jewish religious freedoms, and yet certain groups tend to focus on the group when they fight for the freedoms of atheists or non believers.
Sorry that the ACLU isn't right wing enough to espouse a pro-Christian agenda 24/7. They stand up for everyones rights at different points. Amazing concept in this day and age.

It really means that the Bill of Rights is intact. Unlike the Satanic Bush administration that desires to destroy everything of fathers fought and died for.
The ACLU means we can have free speech on Yahoo Answers.
The ACLU means the Christians of all denominations can gather and pray.
The ACLU means our elected officials can stand in Congress and speak up for the needs of their constituents.

right that's what the founding father of the ACLU Roger Stanley Baldwin, suggested. "we are for Socialism, disarmament, and finally for abolishing the state itself. We seek for the social possession of property, the abolition of the propertied type, and the only administration of people who produce wealth. Communism is the objective." The state he mentions is america. The ACLU is anti American. So are all of its supporters.

The ACLU does not delve into politics. It only fights cases based on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and it's principles. They state this clearly over and over but the conservatives ignore this inconvenient fact.
