That's a deep question.

Under Bush's medieval policies, they'd water-board Osama until he agreed to make a video calling for cessation of all terrorist activities. After the word got out he was tortured, terrorist activities would resume at ten-fold the previous level.

If rather the U.S. constitution were to be followed and Osama granted a fair trial (except for by his peers), we'd probably see him use a defense based on western imperialism against Isalm and the east, which his religion and the Koran allow him to defend against. The case would be dropped against him via graymail, whereby he'd threaten to reveal too many classified covert activities (remember that the US CIA created the precursor to al Qaeda in Afghanistan to fight the Soviets- who incidentally were afraid of the Muslim fundamentalist state on their border) needed for his defense, and the governmnet drops the charges to avoid revealing state, imperialist secrets.

He he - Good question. We'd all be happy, but would Bush actually announce it? Many might feel the "war" is over.

What is happening to Sadam.
You don't want to catch him.
If you wanted to you would have done it.
You know where he is.
