He's certainly not a traditional conservative.
If he's a "compassionate" conservative, what does that mean? Who has he shown compassion for since he was first elected?

If Republican doesn't necessarily mean conservative anymore, what does it mean?

Liberals, traditionally, are those who want change, who aren't satisfied with the way things are, as well as having more tolerance for different styles of life and government. It is supposed to be someone who wants the government to have a large hand in financial affairs.

Conservatives, traditionally, wanted business and other matters to be private, without government interference. They are usually in power, and therefore want things to stay the same, and are more democracy-inclined

My question is: why do you think these definitions have been warped? Today, we associate liberal with democrats and conservative with republicans, and many people don't realize that they do not mean the same thing. Why do many politicians, Democrats in particular, take care not to be labeled as "liberal" as if it were a bad word, and sometimes the same thing with conservative? What do YOU think and why?

Protesters greeted Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on his way to a campaign event for a Pennsylvania senator, and he briefly took refuge in a subway station supply closet to avoid the anti-Republican demonstrators.
The protesters, made up of members of the United Steelworkers union and the anti-war group Uprise Counter Recruitment, chanted, "Jeb go home!".

vote them out, intimidate, get rid of these devils wherever they show thier ugly faces...

The conservatives don't look like they are conserving anything at all, they even stretch what the definition of a conservative even is. Bush is not a traditional conservative. based soley upon actions, they do for corporate interest.
The democrats look the same as republicans, the actions from democrats look just like Republicans. Clinton stretched the defintion of democrat with a business friendly NAFTA, military action on our land against citizens in Waco.
the democrats helped vote for the invasion of Iraq.

Why does your vote even count at all when you vote for either of them, they do the same exact thing.--whatever they want.

As a Black American, I have to say there has never been a more brave, equitous, bright, sexy and reverred President of the US of A.

He changed the face of America for ever and some say paid for it with his life.

He was a great constitutional leader unlike some we know.

I like to think people are just getting impatient we haven't fully recieved the justice we want from what happened that terrible day. Everyone in America mourned that loss five years ago and we all just need to be patient and stay resolved. I just wish the government would communicate better to the people that they are still doing everything possible to bring the people responsible to justice. Wea re ALL Americans and we ALL in one way or another were victims that day and we need to work together not apart to get through this. Make no mistake, a rift of some kind will always be between us so long as the people responsible are roaming free.

WHEN GEORGE W. Bush rails about the supposed threat of Islamofascism, Iran and its President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are at the top of his list.

The reality, however, is that Iran is far more open politically than, for example, the U.S. government’s main client in the Arab world, Egypt--where a police state runs phony elections and regularly crushes dissent.

Far from a totalitarian fascist state, Iranian society is simmering with political and class conflicts that will erupt again in the future.

If we were smart (we arent) we (the US) would be encouraging those who work for democracy and peace in Iran. BUT, we have to be controlled ourselves and those who repress the Iranians are the same as those who repress change in the United States. THEY are the real fascists.

So como out of your coma and get active, get the facts and do something now.

Another propaganda coup by the Iranians who are now issuing Visas to tourists who want to visit their nuclear facilities.

From the Dominican Republic News

'Nuclear tourism' is a fact in Iran

Tehran.– The President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has permitted tourists to visit nuclear sites across the country sending his clear message that Iran’s atomic efforts are only for peace reasons.

President Ahmadinejad authorized the relevant authorities to open nuclear sites for tourists without indicating the number of facilities that can be used for sightseeing nor the way of doing so. Furthermore he hasn’t indicated the exact date for the opening of nuclear plants to tourists.
