Protesters greeted Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on his way to a campaign event for a Pennsylvania senator, and he briefly took refuge in a subway station supply closet to avoid the anti-Republican demonstrators.
The protesters, made up of members of the United Steelworkers union and the anti-war group Uprise Counter Recruitment, chanted, "Jeb go home!".

Yes, he too, like Congressman Foley (R), came out of the closet and remain in the GOP.

When I read this story, I knew the worm had turned. Last year, people were arrested for wearing anti-bush t-shirts. Today...

I am so glad that one member of the bush crime family has finally come face to face with how the people really feel. Wonder if he was thinking of Marie Antoinette on that Pittsburgh street?

Actually Jeb Bush is a decent guy stuck in a nasty situation. Hey, it's not like he controls his brother. He was selected as the best governor of the US as well for his very steady hand during all the hurricanes we went through here in Florida. Unlike some other Democrat governors he didn't sit and wait for handout form the federal government nor has he ever pointed fingers elsewhere to shift blame for his own failures.

And for those that think it's funny that in the US ANYONE needs to be placed in a closet due to safety reason from US citizens we have sunk to a new low of morals. It is not funny it's just shows that some individuals have no class what so ever.

No its not funny. Freedom of speech is fine until it crosses the line. I've dealt with demonstrations like this as a MP in the us armed forces. It won't be the high up that is taking the beating. It is the man or woman there to ensure no one gets hurt that the crowd attacks. Then when we try and defend our selves we are turned into the bad guy. That's what these groups do to us. Protest if you want, I have no problem with that just don't get violent. Then it is the same groups that when issues come up about supporting our troops they are on the front lines saying they are all about the troops.

I don't care for the Bush family's politics - but that is just a shame - that is just going to get more votes for the republicans because the Democrats will be seen as the party of Unionites and wack jobs. That's pretty sad. I would expect that in a country like Cuba when someone speaks out against Castro or in Venezuela speaking out against Chavez.

Not funny, per se, but fitting. Am glad, as another noted, that a Bush had to see up close how most of us feel, but few are brave enough to protest. Even William Rivers Pitt has asked us to be skeptical if he goes missing. I make every protest I can and can't wait for W to be impeached. The state of our country absolutely demands that we not be quiet and leave it for someone else to straighten things out for us. We are that someone. W thinks he does have a blank check. Signing statements? ?? He has concluded he has the "unitary executive power" to ignore any law congress passes. See Friday's signing statement.
God help us.

Well, its one of those things where people get into the whole "mob mentality". Thing is I doubt whether any of those people that say things like "theres never an excuse for war" dont really understand the way of the world.

It was a controlled situation. Dick Cheney's daughter was on hand to show him how to come out of the closet.
