Why don't conservatives like hippies?

There is nothing wrong with being a hippie of that makes a person happy. I'd be willing to guess that hippies are 99% happier than uptight conservatives whom are controlled by their prejudices.

There is also a misconception that hippies smoke pot or do drugs. The ones I have known in my life don't do drugs at all.... they tend to be more I guess you could call 'earth ppl'.

Yes Im what you'd call "conservative", no I dont like hippies. I dont think its really fair to make the correllation between the two. Believe it or not there are conservative hippies....somewhere. Also, there are many many liberals that hate hippies. Not really a fair question.

Because hippies sit around and smoke pot. They are a bunch of peace loving liberals who do not believe in war as a necessary means to protect ourselves. They believe that humans are evil and destroy the environment and offer man made global warming as fact, when it is shaky as a theory. Most hippies are socialists and communists, which is the enemy of free enterprise and capitalism. Conservatives believe when someone earns their money, it belongs to them, not the government. All liberals want to do is redistribute wealth because they feel it is unfair that a few have it and most will never.
