Fakes and multiple profiling isn't the view of America Jane. These are just really bad people posting spam on these pages that have Internet connections. The Republicans have shot themselves in the foot with this last scandal 3 weeks before elections.

I personally do not know anyone who hates a classic liberal. I do know personally several people who profess to be liberals that are classic socialists.
Hatred is a very strong emotion that feeds on itself and becomes dangerous to both parties. I however do hate socialism, it is evil incarnate to me. My grandfather (too old and should not have been there) died fighting Nazism for the sake of our freedom, my father (too old and should not have been there) died fighting communism for the sake of our freedom, I have been in a wheelchair most of my adult life injured while fighting communism for the sake of our freedom. So I feel pretty justified in hanging onto this hatred of socialism which is the root of those evils for which my family has paid a great price.
From my personal experiences todays administration is about as far from fascism as you can get, the congress on the other hand is a completely different story and I am developing a real dislike for career politicians and bureaucrats.
So to answer your question, no I think what people hate is socialism hiding behind the mask of respectability (liberalism).
One last point, if you are concerned about fascism in the USA google this and see the resources. "fascist corporatism"

You really need to look up the definition of fascist and fascism. The fact that we have a Congress and elected officials negates your question from the start. Plus a fascist state or government believes in the centralized control of all private enterprise. Do you see this in the US?
Opposition to another person's political views isn't fascism...it is the foundation of a democratic government...a republic where the people elect those that govern.
Try reading about Benito Mussolini and his fascist government in Italy between 1922 to 1943.
I am surprised that you didn't learn how different governments work... especially ours...during your freshman year in high school.

Do I think our government is fascist? Maybe. Do I think it will last much longer...nope. I think that both sides of the political arena are made up of idiots. If you are extremely liberal, get a life and a kleenex, and get out of my way. If you are extremely conservative, you have a weak chin, fleshy lips, bulbous nose, and show a great penchant for smoking too many cigars, and drinking too many martinis.
My suggestion, adopt the Bitter party. I am the first unofficial member of the Bitter party. If I don't like the way the government is being run, I just vote out the incumbents. If everything is going smoothly (which it never is) I re-elect everyone.
VOTE BITTER!!!

Just look at Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Pol Pot; hardly tolerant of liberalism! (2 of these ruled communist countries as fascist dictators).
Falangistas are Spanish fascists.
Strangely, in the US the extreme rightwing, anti-Liberal Republicans get lots of votes from the Bible punchers, though Jesus is synonymous with tolerance, liberalsim and peace!

No, but labeling all disagreement with your opinion "hatred" is intolerance borne of arrogance in the extreme. You assume that since you hate Conservatives, they must hate you as well (You also childishly stooped to name calling with that "fascist" label.)
The truth is MOST Conservatives do not hate Liberals. Liberalism is driven by the passion of emotion. Conservatism on the other hand, uses logic to define it's positions on the issues.
We don't hate you, but we DO reserve the right to disagree with you. Are we expecting too much? Are Liberals incapable of acknowledging that there may be legitimate disagreement?

I think the current atmosphere of 'anti-intellectualism' is a startling sign of decline in the current culture of the United States. Much of the anti-liberal movement draws on a series of sociological debacles that have unfortunately resulted from a series of failed social programs of the 1970s. I think that urban decay and the abuse of government social funds are examples of this.
However, it should be understood that the majority of 'anti-welfare' propaganda that has been spewed forth from the right is false. Most famously, the speech by Ronald Regan in which he talked of a "Black welfare queen" who lived like a movie star, driving around in a pink cadillac, and made rich by illegally attained welfare funds. The anecdote was completely fabricated by Regan and no such woman was ever known to exist. To this day, that image of the woman in the pink cadillac is paraded around to villify those who need social assistance.

No, its a sign of high intellect and self sufficiency.
But youre right. Hatred is the right word speaking for myself, I certainly do genuinely hate and loathe liberals and their lack of morals.

Liberalism is thinking about how things should be. Conservatism is thinking thinking about how things are. Liberal bashing was a fun sport, but it has gotten so out of hand on both sides that I have cut out most of the time i was spending on answers.

Huey Long once said "if fascism ever comes to America, it will come wrapped in an American flag." as well as "Of course we will have fascism in America but we will call it democracy!" Interesting, I think.
