It astounds me that Republicans knew of this man's history yet allowed him to Co-Chair this Caucus! To me it is as bad as what Foley did.

"Foley was one of the foremost opponents of child pornography. Foley had served as chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children. He introduced a bill in 2002 to outlaw web sites featuring sexually suggestive images of preteen children, saying that “these websites are nothing more than a fix for pedophiles.” As it was written, the bill would have prohibited commercial photography of children, and it failed due to the unmanageable burden it would have presented to the legitimate entertainment industry.[17][18] In June 2003 he wrote letters to the governor and attorney general of Florida, asking them to review the legality of a program for teenagers of a Lake Como nudist resort in Land o’ Lakes, Florida.[19]"

Will our vote not be counted?

It seems like we are letting everything slide, especially the US. We give them warnings, they do what they want.

Today North Korea claimed they successfully tested their nuclear weapons.

With the situation in the middle east, do you think the US will ever go to war with North Korea considering the money and number of lives that will be lost?

Just been watching Chris Wallace discuss the Foley fallout and it appears they feel that the public is tiring of the scandal and the Republicans can lead them led back to the trough for a fresh feeding of Republican swill. Completely ignored was the latest Newsweek poll that shows Bush's approval rating at an all time low of 33%. Isn't this denial thing going to be their undoing?

anyone who watches Faux news has no interest in knowing facts.....they knowingly identified Foley as a dem three times, because they know this is what their viewers want to believe, and they are correct. dont watch Faux for facts, watch because you dont know any better.

I'm not just talking about one Party. I'm talking about all of them. Don't they realize that's what American People want is just the Truth. Why do they all think they have to Lie?

Are there other people out there who are generally in the middle? I vote for the person. If my party puts a couple of BAD people up, I switch party for a while! But if they just put one person up that I don't like, then I cross party lines and vote for the person I THINK is better. NOT what the NYTimes or Fox says, but actually what I think or feel.
I just called some woman an idiot because she wonders if Reagan was/is the Devil. Pretty mean and stupid of her, and just plain mean of me.

Do most of you vote the same party no matter what, and it also being the party your parents voted. ?? And their parents??

In U.S. political campaigns of any kind, especially presidential campaigns, why does it seem like wealthy people always get picked on,whether it's about taxes or anything else? They're a small portion of the U.S. population. They're also made to appear like they don't have to work as hard as the rest of us.

This doesn't make sense to me,because I've known some hard working wealthy people. If any wealthy or well to do people of any race or both sexes can answer this question, please do,no matter what party you belong to.

so after 9/11, we leave our search for Osama and invade Iraq on the basis that they have nuclear weapons. we get there, now where is the nuclear weapons? exactly, and were still there on the basis that we are fighting the war on terrorism which is the same crap Bush feeds everyone all day long, so if were fighting the war on terror, we should remove Bush because hes the real terrorist behind the deaths of innocent people. deaths are a casualty of war and i agree with that, but of a pointless and morally wrong war is something which i can never forgive, some of my friends came back from Iraq, and the stories they tell me, of how they are commanded to kill innocent civilians which are suspected of being suicide bombers and which are nothing more than civilians. the Bush administration can go *** themselves for everything they've done, and the hilarious thing is that we make such a big deal about clinton's infidelity, what about bush's hypocritical war on terror?

Croats, Serbs and Bosnians aside... what I really want to know was basically, was it a Christian/Muslim war and if so, who copped the biggest walloping?
An overly simplistic question, I know but I just need to understand the situation from a Croatian Orthodox Catholic's viewpoint...and why my muslim boyfriend would not be welcome at their daughter's wedding...? (he's not even from that part of the world). Are we talking basic bigotry here or is it overflow from the war?
..I didn't read the papers/ watch the news much during the 90's due to being a self absorbed teenager.

It was they only who soft pedalled and handed over the 3 terrorists Masood Azhar,Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar & Sheikh Ahmed Omar Saeed in December 1999 at Kandahar. One of them only Masood Azhar masterminded the Parliament attack in December 2001. Memory of people is short but not so short.

When I ask people at work, school and even have political discussions with people in general no one has ever heard of the Bohemian Grove, the Bilderbergs, Council on Foreign Relations or the Trilateral Commission. I have heard people say you are some kind of "conspiracy theorist" if you even want to discuss these groups and their influence on American politics and policy. Since their membership lists contain Presidents(from both parties), political leaders, media figures and heads of multi-billion dollar corporations shouldnt there be some type of dialoge in the press about this so at least the average person knows enough to formulate their own opinion. I would like to hear from people on all sides of the political spectrum. Why this lack of open discussion in the media, in school, in general? If there is no conspiracy or any hidden power manipulation why the strict policy of silence this is America we should NOT be ruled by secret

do you vote for things (remember, this is locally and only pertains to things inside your city or precinct) do you vote on issues if they help you, but hurt the overall good, or do you vote on the issues that hurt you, but help the overall good? I know this question is a little vague, but thanks for your answers.

perhaps we could make the supreme commander in chief listen to the Dixie Chicks for 72 hours, do you think this would crack Bush?

Why is it every time we talk about "torture" down at Club Gitmo (see links 1 and 2) Democrats reference the Constitution?

Has someone yet to tell them that the Constitution is for United States citizens and not terrorists?
