G'day Tinker Thinker,
Thank you for your question.
On October 3, North Korea announced plans to to test a nuclear weapon in the future, blaming "hostile US policy." Their full text can be read in the link below.
I would suspect that the tests would be conducted underground. However, an official from the US Government has said "because the North Koreans have never conducted a nuclear test, "we don't really know what we're looking for."" Given their reliance on China, which is a near neighbour, it would be politic to hold it underground especially as the Chinese don't support a test. As well, North Korea doesn't have access to a remote site that would allow aboveground testing.
If it is tested underground, there would be little or no fallout. I don't have a fallout shelter as I live in an apartment.
I have attached sources for your reference.
Regards

The fallout of a nuke can affect anywhere if the nuke is exploded in such a way as to get into the weather patterns.
In fact, if a nuke's radiation is within area of certain kinds of chemicals you could have world wide affect from it.
IN that certain chemicals when mixed with radiation can be lethal to much more than the asian area.
And that is even with a bomb shelter.
Most bomb shelters are totally worthless for most of what a nuke can do even on radiation.

because of the fact North Korea is a rogue state to no longer point out they attacked South Korean and US forces many cases for fifty years because of the fact the ceasefire settlement is in place on the tip of the Korean conflict. besides, they're troublemakers who wanted to show their missiles on america of a. it somewhat is why the UN prevented rogue states of having nuclear instruments on condition that they're tremendously volatile. BTW, the UN had banned nuclear sorting out grounds because of the fact the Nineties and is signed by potential of all international locations (such because of the fact the U.S., uk, Germany, and different civilized international locations), North Korea and Iran did no longer adjust to the agreements the UN issued which those international locations are sanctioned.

depends how they conduct it.
If deep underground then no.
If too shallow, or surface blast, then a rather huge cloud of radioactive dust will be created. Then it depends which way the wind blows. FYI the cloud from Chernobyl reaced Canada.
Then they can put it into one of their missles (they ARE mad enough) in which case they can hit just about what they want.

You're not very clever are you? Typical US education, worship the flag, love Jesus and not much else eh?
Are you just worried about yourself or are you including the rest of the US too? What about those other places outside of US borders called countries, do you care about them?

No. The test will be conducted underground. Deep underground with no chance of release of fallout or radioactive contamination.

Better question, will our government care?
We invaded Iraq because of a horrific leader, WMD's, and torture. All of which N. Korea does MORE OF. I don't understand America's government....
North Korea is flat out using nukes.... and flat out killing its own people.... endangering the asian countries! This is so stupid.
