Imagine bombs/car bombs going off U.S streets, mass killings, insurgences, no running water, no electricity just for ONE DAY in the U.S, would this make us realise we should stop "imposing" war on people? 9/11 was like mass grief, a sign that we can't take a bigger consecutive hits.

Some people believe that homosexuals can change if they want to. Organizations like the National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality and Exodus Ministries both work to help homosexuals in this regard. A whole ex-gay movement exists. What do you think? Do you think homosexuals who want to change are entitled to therapies that can help them achieve their goals? Or do you think that homosexuality is an inborn trait and that nobody should even try to change it.

I don't understand how people get away with arguing that all white Southerners are dumb racist rednecks, but it is a faux-pas to generalize people of other races. Personally, I don't generalize, but I am curious as to how people rationalize the argument that all white Southern people are ignorant racist hillbillies.

Do you know enough about each candidate in each race to determine how their stance on each issue lines up with your needs/views, do you know their voting history and would you vote for someone outside of your party, if you have one, if that person was the best candidate even if you didnt agree with them on every issue? Will you independently choose to vote for a candidate or are you influenced by popularity, party, or others opinions.

Two days ago ,in sync with the openning cermony of the 2006 world cup, the Israeli warships , apache helicopters, and tanks bomded the Palestinian families , who escapes the bleak economic and financial beseige ,on Gaza beaches. Isn't killing the civilians(noncombatant) anywhere in the world an outrageous act of terrorism?
The US state department said that they "understand Israel needs of self defence". Come on folk, terrorism is terrorism regardless of the perpetrator,and it MUST be condenmed.

I like Abraham Lincoln because I think nothing is more difficult then leading a country at war. I think a civil war would be the most difficult and at war over the moral and economic issue of slavery would be very difficult. What I found the most impressive about him was that when suspending habeous corpus during the Civil War he went to his Goverment and got their approval. I think rather then dividing the Goverment he unified it under one purpose, self perservation despite opposing veiws his focus was the unity of the nation, regardless of his personal veiws on the moral issues of slavery, he perserved the Union. He reinforced this veiw by not enacting crushing punishments on those states who chose the confederation but instead sought to welcome them back in as brethern.

Would Communism and Liberalism meaning "left wing" political structures i.e. socialism function under a single government or would it lead to difficulty? Is there a way for Communists and Socialists to somehow band together and possibly operate a single unified government by rotating from the Communist Party to the Socialist or Democratic parties every four years or so? Sorry for the unusual question...It was a thought that has been plauging my mind for sometime.

A lot of people who criticize Islam and Muslims know next to nothing about both.

A lot of people out there are brain washed by the Jews who have tremendous hold over the media - electronic and print - in the US.

Islam is a very tolerant religion and majority of the Muslims are peace loving people.

If a Muslim happens to behind an act of terrorism, it is labelled Islamic terrorism. But when a Christian or Hindu is committing terrorism, it is NOT called Christian Terrorism or Hindu Terrorism. It is simply terrorism.

The Muslims in Palestine have been subject innumerable suffering. They are displaced and their homes destroyed. Muslims were not responsible for Holocaust. Why weren't the victims of holocaust settled in Europe. Why was a state carved out of Palestine for settling them.

When a Palestinian suicide bomber strikes in Israel, the State of Israel commits agression on hte innocent people of Palestine by aerial striking destroying their homes. This a state sponsored terrorism.

They've been there 4 years now. Most of them weren't hard core soldiers all gung-ho on killing Americans. Most were just footboys who joined the army for a paycheck. Wouldn't it have been better to show them how great and noble a country we are instead of treating them like dogs? Wouldn't it have been great if they could have written their families and said how fantastic America is and how wrong the terrorists are? Instead, we've seemed to have justified their potential hatred.
