Yes. His immigration reform plan calls for 700 miles of fence to be constructed on certain portions of the border. Cost estimates vary, but the representative who proposed the plan puts the cost at about 2.2 billion. Check out the link below for the Boston Globe article on the subject.

What has Mexico ever done to you? Why are so many of you Americans so very hateful towards the Mexican people? You hear something on the news media and true to the great American form you think the worst of some other country then you turn around and bash Bush for doing the same thing elsewhere in the world. Are ALL Americans becoming so hateful that no one in the rest of the world can stand you? Is that why in a recent poll of friendly nations that the USA placed second from LAST with Iraq above the USA? The only country below the USA was Iran! It makes me sick to my stomach the way Americans bad mouth other countries and people. Why must you always show your ignorance?

To answer your question though yes there are those stupid enough to want to build a wall all the way around America. I think the original wall built was the Great Wall of China then next came the Berlin Wall in Germany now we will have the Great American wall! Wow what a deal!

They are talking about a fence, but at $3.2M a mile, that gets expensive.

I assume we'll hire Mexicans to help build it.

They are talking about some wimpy little fence, for all the good that will do.. I would think minefields would be more effective.
